In my case it was moisture inside that was causing the issue. I blew some hot air with air dryer through sim tray and bottom ports then heated the entire phone quite a bit and voila! It's fixed completely. Just evaporate the moisture guys. I haven't dropped or exposed my phone to water in past 1 year same as most of you.

@@feelinwoozy iphone started it first. I buy and sell gadgets. The issue before was with iPhones. The fear of upgrading the os bevause phone gets defects like signal is terminated or mic not working or the cameras won't work. Samsung got that idea and theyre focus on screen deffecta so people will really want to change phones because we wont be avle to stand a screen defected phone because its irritating. I believe samsung should take responsibility so they stop messing up. Someone should start to file lawsuit. You can imagine how many people are commenting on this video. That means a lot if people ate victims

Bought this phone for my dad as his birthday gift and exactly 2 days before the warranty expires, i had discovered this issue and claimed the warranty. To be on the safer side, i purchased the extra warranty for this device which covers for the next one year. As expected, nearly in the next 11 months similar issue occurred and Samsung did changed the lcd, motherboard and the battery for me. They failed to answer me on why does this problem occurs at first place. Also, the extra warranty period ends after 2 years and the same problem is back again. How disappointing is this!

Salamat sir. Badtrip I thought sira yung fone ko. You were right, nagstart itong problem after ng system update. Samsung didn't even bother to reach out even by news bulletin. Bastards. I went to Samsung and pinapapunta ako sa service center nila to have my fone fixed. I ended up getting a new phone. Yun pala may solution or temporary fix. Salamat sir. Samsung should compensate customers like us for the system trouble that they have caused.

If it is a software issue shouldn't Samsung release a software fix for this? This is so irresponsible of them! Btw, I tried your solution and I thought I had it fixed but this problem appears again. My discoloration just happens after I'm continuously using the phone for just a few minutes straight. So I had to put it to sleep for a while and it returns to normal, until I'm continuously using it again. I though it was related to continuous use, but then whatever the cause Samsung should have acted on it. My next phone would not be a Samsung.

Seems like it happened after an update. Seems like something in the update caused too much heat and damaged the hardware/display component. But it could be a software bug according to a lot of people. If it is, its still not fixed yet which makes me believe its a hardware issue. Still samsung is shit for not admitting it. They won't cause its an old phone.

Samsung and Apple are the same in marketing strategy. Lagyan nila mga issue old unit nila para bilhin ang bago nila ilalabas sa market specialy bago mag december karamihan ng tao ay bumibili ng bago. Nangyayari mga issue kapag may software update bago mag december.

Ganyan din sa akin 2023 ko lng napansin.. medyo okay2 na ang screen but pansin ko kahit walang blue light filter parang warm pa rin ng display. Medyo may yellow tint (slight) yung color white. Di ktulad dati.. baka may fix ka po. Thanks

Samsung refuses to acknowledge the software issue, and says it's the LCD. Flagship phone useless after 2 years. Only fix I've found is OLED Saver from play store, it's not a perfect fix but it has made the phone usable again.

actually maganda aftersales ni samsung, kahit 2yrs na yang issue may free replacement parin sila ng amoled screen na tinamaan ng update, FREE of charge yun hehehe yung sakin pinalitan nila lastyear.. .then marami parin nagmemessage sakin na this month naapprove sila sa free of charge :) sayang worth 15k din ang screen

Same sa note 8 .. random sya nag a appear pag matagal na pag gamit lalo sa gaming pag medyo mainit na cellphone doon na na a appear.. Nag de discolor din sya pag on off on off yung screen.. Ginagawa ko lang off screen ng 10 to 15 sec.. okay na ulit.. Bug ba talaga to or talagang sirana screen ng phone ko :(
