This process and the replacement kit from RU worked great. Only issue: be careful when removing the battery. The adhesive is quite strong, so patience is a must. You want to avoid bending the frame of the phone or damaging the rear of the display below the battery.

Thank you fixed my note 8 today cause of your video. Thank you very much Repairs Universe !!!! This took me about 30 minutes mainly cause of the small or tiny 16 screws. Fast charge is working! So I bought my replacement battery from Ebay for around 10 bucks and you can save your cell. I bought a OEM Samsung replacement battery and tool combo for 12.99. I use this old note 8 for media, mobile and streaming games with my Dex charger from Xbox games pass to Nvidias Geforce. Highly recommend to watch this video if u have an old Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Well worth it to be able to fix it for 10 bucks and use it as a media mini pc that can stream games and play mobile games aswell even video and anything from your phone to a tvusing Samsung Dex. Great and concise instructions. I ordered a battery and will do it next week. However, I have seen other videos that show not needing to remove all 16 screws. It looks like you do not need to remove the bottom loudspeaker assembly?!? Do you have a specific reason for doing so?!?

When replacing the back cover what is the redish orange tape like peal being pealed off the edge? I was thinking it was a new cover and that was the adhesive protection film, but if it's the same old cover why is this there?

@mr man what's the point of living if you can't use wireless or quick charging AND have to constantly think about overcharging or overdepleting the battery? Mine is two years old, approx. 60% efficient as it was before but rather then doing all the stuff you mentioned before I'd order a new battery for $10 and replace it in the nearest service. Or replace the phone.

not sponsored, but their website sells everything you need for real cheap, just find the right model, get the battery, and it will ask if you need tools or adhesive, and they sell a single use adhesive so you dont have to buy a whole roll. It may seem expensive or complicated, but if you dont want to upgrade or send it to some place to get repaired, this is the cheapest option

I had just received my replacement battery & tool kit from your company ... ticket # 553907 on 2/2/2024' here in Arizona. I've had this rebuilt 6 times ... at a nice penny on my end. The phone is completely DEAD ... Doesn't turn on, no charging icon ... nothing !!! So I'm pretty pissed at this point. So I really don't know what to do at this point. There is absolutely nothing wrong prior to this fix with this samsung note 8 phone ... Don't mean to be a downer ... This needs to be resolved & FAST !!!😮
