Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus | 2020 Review | One Year Later...

Re-reviewing the Galaxy S10 Plus in 2020, one year after its original launch (and OneUI's introduction) and ahead of the S20 reveal. Here's how Samsung's big blower stacks up 12 months later, including camera updates (a night mode, rejoice!), performance, battery life and the everyday experience.
That Galaxy S10+ no longer seems like a monster, with most mobiles hitting a similar size in 2020. Battery longevity seems to have actually improved over time, possibly due to software updates, while the triple lens rear camera has been boosted for low light shots. It's not the best smartphone for photo quality but the video output is still brilliant. Check out my review of the greatest camera phones for video recording for a closer look.
Speed is not an issue - the likes of PubG Mobile still play with a beautiful frame rate on the Samsung S10 Plus. Plus, the media chops are as solid as ever, despite the lack of 90Hz refresh and Dolby Vision action.
But of course the Galaxy S10+ is still far too expensive ahead of the S20 Plus launch, so here's hoping that price comes down when the latest Samsung flagship mobiles arrive.

I've using my S10+ for 10mos. Will I upgrade? Nah, this phone is simply a pleasure to use. Still blazing fast, android10 is very good. The display, cameras & battery are excellent. One of Samsung's best releases. I have no reason to upgrade!

I'm with the S10 plus for about a year now. It's getting more and more enjoyable to use it since the android 10 update. No glitches, no stutters. It's more than enough for me. I don't think to upgrade anytime sooner, or buy other phone just because they have 90hz refresh whatsoever. The S10 plus gets any jobs done anytime.

@@alimostofa967 it still gets me through an entire day. I usually don't have to charge it until I go to bed around 11pm. So, it's still one of the best batteries around. Mind you I'm not a heavy user. I don't play games on the phone. Nor do I take alot if pictures with it. So, that could be why it still lasts me so long.

I've the unlocked s10e and I get all updates pretty quickly. Monthly security updates within a week of Google and the where refreshingly quick updating to Android 10.

Great video. Would appreciate your advice as I'm currently considering a contract between the note 10 regular and s10 plus. The price will be identical so with price being equal, is there one phone you would reccomend over the other? If I'm honest, I'm not particularly fussed about the s pen but as the phones are literally the same price, not sure if it's worth going go the note even if I won't use the pen

I bought my s10+ in June 2019. Upgraded from iPhone 6 and I'm still in love with it. I received Android 10 over a month ago too. Its absolutely perfect for me. Weird that you're still waiting for your android 10 update. I heard that it got pushed out in the UK in December.

Been using the S10+ Ceramic version for over a month now and i don't have any complains whatsoever, i think the display is just awesome, using WQHD+ (1440), love watching videos or anything in 4k and the brightness is just perfect when needed, great battery life, agree with you in regards the videos, everyone always bring that up, when showing recorded videos, that the quality is just amazing and ask what phone it is, same with photos, performance is just there all the time, no lag... so yeah, you can tell I'm very happy with this phone plus I've been using android 10 since day 1 and is just smooth

Hey mate, I'm confused between Galaxy S10 Plus exynos version vs OP 7Pro vs OP 8T. I don't play games on my mobile but I'm a hardcore user. Plus I want a good camera phone. I considered getting S10 plus because of its camera and looks but the exynos scares me. Please let me know your thoughts on it :)

I got my S10+ at the beginning of this month. I have absolutely no regrets. Even running the Exynos chip instead of the Snapdragon, this phone is an absolute beast. Its the perfect size for me & it still has the 3.5mm jack. The cameras are amazing, the battery is good even though I dont own the Snapdragon variant. The speakers are really good too. This phone is almost perfect and my ONLY gripe with it is the Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader. I used a Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 for about 10 months when I decided to get the Active 2 watch and also the S10+. Its my favourite phone :)

I just upgraded from an s7 edge and I gotta say this thing bugs me with the sensitivity on the edges. I hold it with meaty hands so when I try to reach across the screen my palm hits it causing it to do stuff I don't want constantly.

I just got this phone and I love it. I almost got the new Samsung but I agree, I want the price to go down a bit so I always go for the older phones.
