Can't say I blame you! The benchmark jump in the s10 is great, but the real world use is not really significantly faster than the Note 9. Even with camera comparison the Note 9 hangs with it. If you do plan on upgrading you're better off waiting to see how much better the Note 10 will be.

XEETACHCARE is this the exynos or snapdragon (also in the XS video) there are some problems with the exynos they say its way slower than SD please tell us there is a big conversation about it in the samCENTRAL (samsung) discord server and your one of the 4 people that did a XS vs 10+ video

He has the exynos 9820 which is faster than the SD on cpu performance with such things like app openings and everyday usage, but about -5-10% slower than the SD when it comes to gpu performance - which is completely irrelevant for real world performance because both chips will annihilate any current game offerings for smartphones and you'd never see or notice a difference in anything other than geekbench. Both the exynos and snapdragon will perform identically on any games neither one will struggle to load or render graphics

The Exynos is slower than the SD as seen in the gary!s speed test G. But people are wrong in the way see it. They need to look at the exynos version in comparison to last year and the year before. The 9820 knocked 33 seconds off the note 9 845 time while the 855 knocked 17 seconds off the 845 time . In the speed test the 9820 was 17 sec behind the 855 but that was mostly down to the gpu. Remember the 9820 is an 8nm processor vs the 7nm 855

Derek Drummond sure, but the only place you'll see a difference is in geekbench which is what Gary used, if you run fortnite on both handsets SD & Exynos side by side, the experience will be EXACTLY the same. Geekbench is designed for maximum stress way beyond what any game can currently offer. And with those things being considered if the exynos can open and load apps faster, aswell as offering 4k recording at 150 fps to the snapdragons 4k @ 30fps and the exynos can record 8k where the snapdragon can't, the exynos is the better chipset to get.

And like i said the 855 completed the test in 1.32 while the 9820 did iit in 1.49 but the Note 9 845 took 2.22 so a massive improvement vs a 17 second improvement on the 855 v 845. The difference would have been more if he used the 9810 S9 vs the 9820 S10.. True you won't see any real difference day to day between the 855 and 9820 as both are overkill.

The reason why apps kept getting refreshed is because you would keep opening the last apps opened and putting them on the fron of the list, while the RAM keeps running the LATEST apps used. Since the 6GB couldn't keep every app, yet some of them opened, the way you did it made it look like any app was still running in the background.

Almost forgot 😅 about the display...Samsung is already well known for making great OLED display...as evidence ... No, it's just that the new chipset (Exynos 9820 I think) in the S10 + is better at RAM management than the previous chipset in the Note 9. Samsung has always kinda suffered from RAM management and refreshes, but the new chipset really seems to improve it.

Samsung panels are inconsistent . Whites sometimes look yellow.. Dull grey... Red. They have had this issue since s8. The tints vary on each handset. It's a lottery to get a good one.

To me the Note 9 looked too blue honestly, It's been mentioned by displaymate that the 9 series have a white point overly bluish, rather than the d65k white point standard and I heard the s10 looked to correct that

It also dependes on % of brightness, around 50-55% my S9 whites are greenish/yellowish, around 46~ looks spot on. I wish they would include % number for the brightness dialers and also profiles to safe a desired brightness level, white accuracy jumps around all across the brightness slider.

@DJkhaled.. i think he said that the one he is using is exynos ..go watch the speed test with the iphone....and i watched another video with Snapdragon version it was slower than the iphone... so bottom line i think single core is the important factor and it's higher on the exynos..and also it's made by Samsung manufactured by Samsung so over all i think it's better.

I would love to see the American variant of the Galaxy Note 9 go against the Exynos Galaxy S10, since the Snapdragon 845 varint of the Note 9 managed to tie the Exynos Galaxy S10 in performance when running Speedtest G. The American variant of the Note 9 ran it in 1:49 as did the Exynos 9820 Galaxy S10+. However the US variant of the S10+ smoked both of them. The Snapdragon 855 variant of the S10 is very fast!

Because the white balance is off. The galaxy s8 had an issue with red tinted screens I hope my s10 doesn't have this as the note 9 here looks far better.

Samsung says that the screen produces less blue light than before. It's supposed to keep your circadian rhythm intact. Once you see the phone in person, you won't notice it, but you will when compared to the screens of the older Samsung phones. You can change this under display settings to give you a more tailored look to your screen.

@@akombalasau4022 yea, it won't be perfect. I think it come down to personal preference. The demos I have seen look pretty good to me, but I can understand why you wouldn't like it. Especially if you feel the colors are off.
