It all depends on how you charge your phone. I have been using my Honor 8 since 2016 and the battery is still in good condition. Try to charge your battery to 86% - only.

A52, better battery life and decent performance, 3 years os updates 4 years security updates. Get the s10e for emulating and gaming and a secondary phone.
