Damn right, I was working on my car laying down on the ground, had my phone on my back pocket, and my back glass on my 1+7 pro, cracked (even through my heavy duty case, that I've dropped countless times). I'd say that it looks nice, but it's not worth it when it can break too easily.

Great review as always Flossy. Just thought I'd let you know that up here in Canada the S20 is still going for about $1000 US unless you get a discounted one off Amazon, and then you don't get a warranty. You could also do a contract/tab but I was able to get an S20 FE 5G direct from Samsung for about $550 US with the promotional price and a trade in... big savings made the decision a lot easier and your review helped.

I get what you mean, being in UK/Europe. For the benefit of US people who don't understand, there are two versions of the FE on sale - 4G Exynos and 5G Snapdragon. When all S20's in Europe are Exynos, the FE 5G is the best performing and value of all S20's. This is the main point, not necessarily the 5G, though that is a bonus.

I got the phone in 2022 with Android version 12 with the one ui 4.1 at a 40% discount, with the resulting price at US$352.5, and honestly I love it. In my case, I switched from the more budget friendly galaxy A20e to this one a week ago. I still love my previous phone and not ready to divorce it entirely, but the s20 fe has a far better overall user experience. Not to mention, returning back to the price, (upper) mid range Samsung phones in 2022 where more expensive and included less features, so this one had a very big competitive advantage. Think you should revisit it this year with Android 12. Last but not least, thanks a lot for your amazing reviews. They're both entertaining and wise, not to mention authentic. Your videos are the best when it comes to reviews aimed towards the real consumer who wants to avoid any cash-grab traps, cause these companies profit from naivety and unconsciousness/ignorance. #Salute!

Cheers Flossy neat rundown of the Samsung S20 FE. For 700 it looks a really good package. Nice fast screen, loud stereo speakers, Snapdragon 865, decent and flexible cameras and despite the plastic back a nice build. Over here where I live, in the UK, if we buy Samsung we usually have to put up with Exynos SOC, this is a deal breaker for me. However if we buy the 5g variety of the ,FE we get the Snapdragon 865 and at just 700 pounds that's dope. I was thinking about scoring one of these. Now after watching your video I'm sure I'll score one. Thank you Flossy for help making up my mind

In user forums (XDA, etc) the S20FE has Major Touch Ghosting on most devices. Latest SW fix updates did NOT fix it. Be sure to check. No modern brand phone has this issue but somehow Samsung managed it on an S20. THIS is major.

Hey Bro, I just want to commend you on this video man. I am not even done watching it (Half way through and love it) and I have found things I didn't even know I had on my current phone Samsung S8, which i have had for 3 years. Like the Edge lighting. LOL I didn't even know i could change this for 3 freaking years. Now to my point, because of your video i am definitely buying the S20 FE. Due to Lower price and right now comes with Free Galaxy Ear buds+. I can understand other S20s (Plus or Ultra may be better, but in this Covid era we live in. Cost matters. thanks for helping me solidify my mind on this. All the way from Canada!!!

Also, biggest difference for me is that this uses an optical fingerprint sensor, so you can use a traditional screen protector without the issues that came with the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor of the original S20.

familybarton That’s a GREAT point !! 💯😃👍🏻 And I would just add that a better comparison for the FE is to the S20+ and _not_ the regular S20 (display size/battery size/5G bands [albeit optional for an additional $50 ]). So then the price comparison is very different. My only big complaint about the FE is that it most def should’ve included a headphone jack. This may just turn out to be the price/performance winner of 2020 (jury is still out on a Note 20 FE); it certainly will be VERY strong competition for the iPhone 12/12 Max, Pixel 5, and OP 8T !

Flossy never fails to disappoint with his fantastic and entertaining reviews. I bought the same coloured S20FE for my wife yesterday and she couldn't be happier moving from her excellent but ageing Huawei Mate 20 Pro with its annoying curved screen that she could never get used to!
