This video shows EXACTLY what is needed to be able to replace the LCD with glass. I'm NOT a technician or a repair professional. I have some mechanical abilities and I can follow directions well and this worked great. I recommend trying this to save some $$$. Be sure to take your time and have all of your tools and materials ready before starting the job. A couple of points that I noticed when I was fixing mine versus this video: - I used a scalpel to open my case but whatever you use, be careful and take your time. You do not want to cause damage to the internal components you will be swapping out. And try not to cut yourself. - I couldn't find the same thin double sided tape used in the video so I used fabric tape. It is double sided and thin but a bit wider and found easily at your chain pharmacy stores near women's fashion accessories. Worked perfectly for the battery. - I also found the alcohol at the pharmacy store. Don't skip this step with the alcohol and the heat to remove the battery to avoid causing damage to the battery. Be patient and it will slowly lift out. - The 2 thin pieces that are not known at the edges of the LCD screen were different on my phone. They had connectors on them but were removed just the same as the video minus the connectors. They might be the difference between the 5G and non 5G phones as the antenna's run through them. - I used a temperature control heat gun to heat the case, which is required to soften the glue. I already owned one and I got it on sale for under $20 at a local hardware store. If not, hair dryer will work. Make sure not to overheat the phone to protect the MOBO (motherboard). I used an instant read laser thermometer but not necessary. Phone should feel warm but not hot. Focus the heat at the edges of the phone. - Make sure to have a set of tweezers to remove the screws like the video as they need to be lifted out of the holes to be removed without damaging the salvaged components. Also keep track of where the screws came from as the bottom screws are a hair longer than the ones holding the MOBO. - Do not touch the camera lenses...you do not want to have blurry photos. If you make this mistake, a cotton swab with the alcohol should do the trick but be very careful to not drip alcohol on the MOBO. - I was afraid of breaking the back case when separating so I ordered a new one for $6 dollars (didn't break). It came with new adhesive already attached and made reassembly easier than using glue. - Here is the website I used to order my parts from: parts4cells.com *Thank you TECH&FUN for this great video and helping me save $$$!!! by fixing my phone myself* Your video is the real deal and I will be checking out the rest of your channel to learn more. Please keep these great videos coming and again, excellent job!

@jneg3787 Yeah, Parts4Cells changed their policy. There are other places on the web to order and even Amazon has cell phone parts now. Good luck.

where do you get the original parts? I'm so confused when I'm looking; it says screen and digitizer with frame and another says without frame. sometimes I see it says OLED or should it say LED. I'm not a handy person, but I will try my best since I took it to fix twice for the battery and port issues; not charging, and I don't know which store it was, but they swapped out the original battery and gave me a bad one. The person at the second store also said the port was not good. Now I don't trust these small stores around me because they keep original parts and mess up others. I will try myself and save me a few bucks, if not just give in and buy a new one.

This is good that the thin oled panel comes with the frame attached.

This was excellent :) I had cracked the screen glass then dropped the phone in the river. Replaced the screen, put in a new battery and USB connector. The phone works great like new now, really good :)

Some screws are shorter, some are longer! If you put the longer screw where the short was originally, you will crack the screen like I just did! Thumbs down for not metioning this in the vid!!!
