Very fair and professional to wait a while till software updates sort out any issues. The iPhone 11 Pro got a lot of negativity for a buggy release (it was), yet those of us that saw this, knew things would get better, and they did (RAM and performance). Hopefully, as these phones get more and more complex, reviewers will do a 2-month update review so we can get some context -v- release software.

@@gemsandlasers269 I understand, but what I was saying was that if reviewers know an update is coming soon, they should wait, especially as in some regions, like the UK, the official release is not for another two weeks, so the current state is irrelevant. Also, I hoped that as well as an initial review they do a follow up after 2-3 months, for further impressions and to cover any developments after launch.

@@andyH_England it is extremely rare for a flagship phone to get substantial camera improvements with firmware updates, unless those improvements are an actual software feature - such as Deep Fusion on the iPhone 11. Budget phones do often get improvements to their cameras over time (the Essential comes to mind), but I can't think of any recent examples of phones by a big company like Samsung with a substantial photography team that have legitimately taken notable leaps in quality after launch. it's not as if they haven't pumped a lot of time and money into the camera hardware and software already, so anyone expecting them to hit a switch to improve focus and change the overall image processing algorithms is living in Cloud Cuckoo Land IMHO. I'm happy to be proven wrong though.

I, for one, love the industrial designs. Though I haven’t used an iPhone 11 Pro with the huge camera bump and cameras the design has grown on me. I think it has become more important for companies to design outrageous phones just so to set them apart from others. You can instantly recognise an iPhone 11 series phones or the new S20 series phones. Also, the huge camera bump and multiplicity of different sized sensors makes the phones look powerful and capable. I say thumbs up to both the designs.

Great video as usual and really appreciate your honesty and integrity. As a side note Samsung have stated there is another camera update being worked on to address issues raised around focus etc separate and in addition to the one released in the last few days in Korea. I've pre-ordered the Ultra in the local Samsung store (sold out online) having visited and played with the phone for several days and so long as the promised updates do happen then it will be my new..... 'daily driver' - (sorry couldn't resist!) - upgrading form the S8+ btw!

Hi Tom! I actually quite enjoyed this longer, 'chatty' chappy format, and you're the first reviewer who's actually said that 128 GB is a little scroogy for this this kind of top-tier device (also the smaller S20 and S20+ are only available in the smaller storage capacity variants in many markets). Also, Samsung seems to have forgotten to mention that 4G variants of these two models come with 8 GB of RAM, not 12. Btw, how's your experience with the new Exynos 990 chipset been? Keep making brilliant content, and cheers! :)

I remember my very first mobile phone in 1999 and the sheer novality of no longer having to depend on the landline. I could actually make and recieve calls without having to be in my house. The S20 looks amazing. That will be my next phone. I am currently using the ancient S9.

Actually. Another reviewer showed a great example of how to use the 100x zoom in video mode so that it is somewhat useful. I hope that you will find some great things in the update, as I think already shorting the Ultra on the camera and I've seen some pretty fab things so far, pre-update. I look forward to a fuller review.

I got this phone today it was all updating all afternoon to 3.1 and android 11 and software updates etc etc I found it for £499 UK I couldn't believe it! I went down for the A71 aswell lol I really didn't mind adding 70 quid to pick this up! Glad I did it's amazing! So happy with it the cameras are just on another level! My batteries on 48% just now at 4.30am from a full charge at 2pm and been on it all day really updating and transferring files so I can't say that's to bad atoll!

Because Final Reviews don't make any sense a few weeks after picking up any Smartphone, let alone a few days🤔 ... What you get the first two weeks is going to be different after 30 days and so on...
