Glad you showed it sticking to metal surfaces and not just to other accessories. I bough the mous case for my s23 ultra nad am let down that the magnet isn't strong enough to snap it to metal equipment like a fridge or gym equipment. This case seems much better.

Very nice review, and as a bonus I got to know the wallet! It looks awesome! I've read on Reddit that the magnets on this particular case messes a bit with the OIS of the zoom camera. Did you notice this?

Hey there, great video, but had a question about the wallet. Magbak claims you can still mount your phone in the car using Magsticks, but I have the Ohsnap car mount, would the wallet attached to magsafe case still mount to a magsafe mount in car or does it have to be a Magstick special mount?

That is a no. It doesn't have the magsafe array on the back of the wallet. I am in the habit of popping it off when I need to mount it to something magsafe.

@@GottoGetitDone hey just wanted to let you know I got this wallet last week and it does actually mount to the OhSnap car mount in the car with the wallet on the back of the phone which is awesome!!! You do have to move it slightly down on the mount but works great and is another awesome feature to be able to mount the phone with the wallet on it in the car. There is a magsafe strip built in to the top of the wallet I believe which allows this.

How strong do normal magsafe accessories attach compared to the magbak wallet? Since the magbak wallet has additional magnets on the sides, I can imagine it's strong. For example how was your magsafe ohsnap or if you have others such as the popsockets magsafe as well, would love to know

I will say that Magsafe is much stronger when using a compatible case. The oh snap still requires some sticky stuff to ensure it sticks good. Magsafe is pretty strong but it is still designed to be removed so strong but not to strong.

What am I doing wrong? I have this case, with the same sticker on the indie of the case. It will not attach to any OhSbap products. The one you used in the shower or the wireless charger. And what I mean is, it will not stick on and not fall off. It charges, but I can't drive around with it.

What sucks about the MagSafe accessories for the s23U is the fact that it covers a piece of the bottom camera. It doesn't show the blockage when taking a photo but from an ascetic view, it looks off and horrible. Which it was made for Samsung

MagBak customer service stated that the MagBak wallet will not block the 10MP telephoto lens that it appears to partially intrude upon. I have found that to be true. Although this does imho slightly affect the overall aesthetics/appearance, an unintended benefit is that the attached wallet may be more protective of the rear camera lens(es) during any impact or fall. I agree that at its high price point the wallet ought to fit the form factor of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra phone better. However, I still love the MagBak case and wallet (and wireless car charger!).

Ok I checked out the compass. It definitely messes with it. It becomes jumpy and about 10 degrees off.

Another potential problem is the OIS system of the cameras. This case in particular might be even more problematic due to the vertical and horizontal arrays of magnets placed close to the cameras.

5:10 - "the camera is not going to be touched. It's embedded in there.". ... that is, until we get to the real world of gravel, pebbles, and other non-flat ground surfaces, which basically covers most of the earth's surface. The drop at 5:43 is so unrealistic - that would have been a cracked screen if instead of a perfectly flat table that was a real world surface like asphalt, or a tile floor with less than perfect corners, or concrete, or gravel, or rocks, or any uneven surface. I own the UB Pro case you show at 6:15, and while in that case, one of my S23 Ultra phone's camera cover glass faces broke, even though my phone dropped very gently onto soft ground from only 2 ft up. Yeah, a pebble on that soft ground happened to hit the camera glass. Turns out you don't need to "throw it against the wall" or "run over it with a truck". Whenever you have a much heavier phone, its own momentum destroys itself when it hits a hard surface. I'd estimate the UB Pro case has 2x to 3x the raised lip around the cameras that the MagBak case has. The S23 Ultra's camera cover glass is super thin and prone to shattering. And you can't just replace the single camera glass...you have to replace the entire back of the phone. Yeah, the repair cost me $120.

I was so sold on this concept. I invested 100.00 in case wallet and extra magnets etc, Complete waste of money for me - No 1 speaks on the weight added due to this case. Wow - weight is sooooo heavy that it is uber uncomfortable to carry or use. Weight nearly doubled that of phone itself. Case does what it claims and is of good quality... but the weight is absolutely unbearable. Thanks

@GottoGetitDone thank you. Will this really work with samsung s23u? Does it have fast charge? The one I bought from Apple said it was 15 watts and people were saying it worked with samsung so I bought it to test it out I plug it in and my phone says it'll take 2 hours 52 minutes to charge to 85 percent and it was at 35 percent at the time and I left it there for 20 minutes and it was still on 35 percent and the time remaining increased to 2 hours 55 minutes. Will I have the same issue with this one?
