This was the phone to tempt me switch from iOS, not disappointed so far! The 14 Pro Max I found disappointing in terms of updates (camera should have at least been 5x zoom) and iOS 16 has been buggy for me. The S23U's Battery life has been pretty comparable with the iPhone (much better compared to my awful Exynos S22U last year), camera range is incredible (loving the 10x zoom). Customisability is second to none. However I do find iOS is generally more polished and consistent in terms of look and feel in the UI than One UI 5.1, but still very usable. All in all, Samsung I've felt have made a very compelling case for anyone thinking of switching.

Hey Hayls! Great video as usual. I've had my S23U for about 2 weeks now, and coming from an S22U, I can definitely see marked improvement. The phone is just all around faster and more efficient. The battery is much better. The cameras surpass the S22U, and downloading and installing anything is twice as fast. I saw that "subscribe" on your ring too, don't think I didn't catch that. Anyway, keep up the great work. I love your channel. 🥰

How's your battery life doing so far? I'm coming from an iPhone 13 Pro Max, and expect insanely good battery life. I've heard great reviews from reviewers, but some customers are saying theirs is pretty bad.

@Thatbeardedguy86 So far, I've heard that the battery life is just about on par with the 14 pro max. Personally, I'd say the battery is anywhere from 25% to 50% more efficient, depending on use. For example, after an 8 hour shift at work and a few hours of some average use at home, I'd have about 15%-20% left on my old S22U before recharging before bed. With the S23U, I'm left with 40%-50%. So, there is a visible improvement. Hope that helps.

You hit on the most important feature for me, and that is the camera. My carrier is offering $500 for my S22 Ultra so I will hold off for now. When I start traveling again in November, I might look at the S23 again. Photos and videos are important, both personally and professionally.

I loved my.iPhone 11. I havent had and Android since the S4 which should be over a decade. Apple is amazing. But androids have more variety and customizations. Everyday I learn something else cool about the phone. I highly recommend it.

Don’t switch to android even if it is Samsung . It will be worse experience switching from iOS to Android . If Samsung brings there own operating system like iOS then I will prefer Samsung otherwise iOS is the best ever option.

bought my (the) last Note in August 2020. I just received my S23 Ultra yesterday, 2-23-23. After 18 hours or so with the S23 Ultra I'm struck by how similar it is to my Note20 Ultra. Strikingly similar but the S23 Ultra has a greater heft due to the large battery. I like the camera array on the S23 Ultra. The new phone is in an ESR Kickstand Case and there's a raised, protective ridge around the cameras. So many cameras out back. What do all of those cameras do? Is there a zoom microphone on the S23 Ultra? I'd become accustomed to a zoom mic on my Note10 Plus and the Note20 Ultra.

I subscribed to you just before you left the studio. A newbies question on Galaxy's camera. When taking photos, videos using Galaxy, do users commonly use the default build in camera app or something else. If something else, what are the recommended app to take advantage of the larger sensor in S23U? I got S23U so that I can take screenshots (hopefully with details, like ability reading the text displays on the screen) in trade show environment where lighting is always not optimal.

Glad to see your new studio is up and running. Great review of the Samsung S23 Ultra but, I am still going to stay with the iPhone just because of the privacy and security issues with Google/Android OS. I was with Android for years but, upgraded to my first iPhone device back in 2021. I have been way happy with the phone and I now wish I would have made the switch years ago. Just a heads up about the security and privacy statement. Apple also collects your data just like Google so you are particularly getting anymore privacy there. The only extra privacy you would get is that you can't sideload any apps so you don't have to worry about having a malware in your phone but if you are a smart user you could just avoid the ones on the internet while using Android as well. I am sure there were other little reasons such as consistency and stability as such.

Y'all are seeking in to that new studio. I already loved your vids, but the production value somehow got even better. This was also just plain good content. I've seen many reviews of this phone and I own the phone, but THIS review made me feel like I was being introduced to it again. I could have just said "well done", I guess. Highlights for me: * Compare to Red. Hayl yes! I loved that. I didn't expect a win for a phone, but that it can even be compared outside of a joke is amazing. * That finger tracking dissolve to x-ray of inside the phone was such a cool effect.

Great review. I'm in the market for a new device and this has helped a lot; but nothing about audio quality. Thi is really important to me because I'm a music teacher. Cameras are not important to me as a lay person. I was wrapped with the quality of pics on Galaxy Note FE brilliant photos at the time. Even the crappiest phones nowadays have reasonable cameras. (To me). So music is important I'd like the best quality. Reviewers today seldom mention audio.

I got another Samsung because LG isn't making cellphones anymore and I'd had a Samsung before I bought an LG. Needless to say I am disappointed that they removed the FM Radio, home screen looping, the good Gallery app they used to have. The music app isn't as good as it used to be either. If it's NOT broken don't fix it.
