@@nikhilkoganti it wouldn't be worth it Infact i think newer ColorOS based UI is better than iOS I use a budget oppo phone as a second phone (along a primary iPhone) and tend to use the oppo more cuz the software is so customizable and I've never noticed any bugs

@@nikhilkoganti I’ve switched from Note10 to iPhone 13 Pro, and let me tell me what drove me nut - on second incoming call, iPhone keep vibrating and beeping all during your conversation, no way to calm that down, with a Samsun you calm that down by clicking on volume, the second call stays in background in mute mode - you paste a phone number on call keypad and there is no way you can modify it or delete a number, you have to paste it somewhere do your edit copy and paste again on keypad. - switching SIM cards : I use 2 SIM card, in Samsung you can modify where data is consumed with 2 touch. With iPhone you have to go through different menus - controlling volumes : with Samsung you can control your volumes for call, alarm, media… with iPhone you can’t, the volume you set works for everything - WhatsApp calls logs integrated with phone logs - gboard is more intuitive and easy to use in Android - and many more options that you are used to in android you won’t find them on iPhone. This is why I am waiting for my S23+

My personal experience. S23 has both fingerprints & face recognition.. s23 screen better & 120hrtz S23 is more customizable , can be used both andriod & iOS themes.. Samsung is compatible with many smart watches S23 camera images are better S23 has a duel messengers option, e.g, can have 2 what'sapps Samsung gave better tradin value & discount for upgrades...

Since my blackberry many moons ago, I've always stayed loyal to Samsung. Most of my TV's and washing machine are Samsung so it made sense (65in TV and fridge are LG). I got an amazing deal when I traded in my S9 two days ago for the S23 and phone works out much cheaper with EE (UK) than buying it out right. What I like is that the S23 software will be updated for 5 years as I plan to keep it for a few years.

I've just moved from pixel 7 to s23. I prefer One UI to stock Android on Pixel 7. On the pixel there are niggly things like having to swipe down twice to change screen brightness, and linking WiFi and mobile data on the same quick settings button, so turning off WiFi requires an extra step, on my phone the ability to turn off 5g was disabled too (I work in a building with thick walls so I find data speeds more reliable with 5g off).

S23+ owner here, I have yet to run into a bug or performance issue so far. I grew up with iphone alongside my family but for the past 5 years I have gravitated towards android as I personally prefer the customisability and the amount of system control the user has. I own a M1 Macbook which made me question if I should buy an iphone. But as someone who doesn't particularly use the ecosystem (windows pc, android phone, mac laptop) I decided that sticking to an android was the way to go. And holy cow AMOLED 120hz refresh rate is amazing, it is hard to tell the difference with my 165hz refresh rate monitor. And as a fingerprint biometric lover, the ulrasonic scanner is pressing my nerd buttons. With sammy being an android phone, it is extremely useful for me to run unauthorised software. Being able to inject payloads into my Nintendo Switch using an android device saves me the trouble of having to use my laptop or PC.

I think the comparison should be between s23 and 14 pro. Otherwise it is a no brainer. S23 has better camera than the 14 overall. Even the 8k 30fps is very good and useable, unlike the 8k 24 fps on other phones. The Snapdragon 8gen 2 with a bit overclock for the samsung is an efficient monster. I have watched the most objective battery test from Phonearena and I would say that the s23 battery is on par. Maybe you can get 15-20min more on average with the iphone, but it is a very small difference to even discuss. Especially when nowadays you have fast charging. The display is also a lot better and I was the guy who thought 120hz is a bit overkill and not needed, but I am coming from SE2020 and jesus, the difference is huge. Its worth mentioning that the s23 even has adaptive Hz, so you save battery. It is very good build quality. I think the Pro versions of iphone have the best build quality in terms of feel, but s23 is right behind. And when you put a case, you can't notice. This is why s23 should be compared to 14pro in terms of features. If we get to the price point, then s23 even wins against 14 pro. I was able to take mine on the preorder deal from a mobile operator for 650$ for the bigger 256GB with ufs 4.0. And ufs 4.0 is a lot faster than Nvme. So if you think about the advantages that ios had over android over the years, they are gone. UFS 4.0 > Nvme, Camera is better in android , you get 4 main versions and 5 years security patches in terms of software support. The perfomance and efficiecny of the Snapdragon is right there with the a16. In terms of games, it is even better. The only reason you would get an iphone nowadays is for the Ecosystem. I don't see any other real advantage.

Flagship or upper midrange, but it need to be on the smaller side, thus the options are limited: iphone 14 vs S23 For me it was no brainer, base S23 cost $200 less than base iphone 14. The preorder bonus that bump up the S23 storage into 256gb also sway me a lot. Performance wise, you cant go wrong with any of these phone, current flagships are very capable to tackle everyday use.

I have been trying to switch to iOS for quite some time but the inflexibility of the iOS kept me coming back to Samsung (android). I also do not get why the tech youtubers claim that iPhone is camera king. In my experience, Samsung is leagues ahead. To give you some context, I am still rocking a S9 from 2018, since then, my GF (now wife) and friends have had iPhone X, Pixel 3, iPhoneXS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, OnePlus 8Pro, iPhone 13. I mean these are the phones we have compared our photos with. TBH, unanimously almost 90% of the time everybody prefers photos clicked with S9m even the guy who is an apple fan and rocks an iPhone13. I am not saying S9 doesn't have faults, the battery life is not good, not the fastest phone (damn you Exynos version) but there's something about the curved display and the feel of the touch (my wife has iPhone 13 now and I don't know why the screen feels more plasticky compared to S9). Not to forget, the screen is the best I have ever seen, even better than the new Samsungs, it is a QuadHD+ screen with blacks so deep, I can't find the bezels in room conditions. Sorry too much rambling.

Long time user of ios since 2013, but just recently I switched to android (vivi x90 pro).. my reasons are 1) apple is not innovative anymore. Just make some adjustments in old tech and increase the price heftily 2) it’s 2023 , and iPhone is still charging with 20w brick.. any avg android phone now comes with 25w charging speed.. when you’re spending > 1000 usd , I expect warp charging 3) apple isn’t providing individual app lock 4) apple still not able to segregate pics in different folders. There should be a totally different folder for camera pics. In gallery everything gets at the same place in recents 5) iPhone is still not customisable. I expect different fonts, different themes 6) call recorder - because of my profession I desperately required call recorder. This is the reason I always required carry two phones - one personal no (iPhone) and another professional 7) no app clone I’m looking forward to buy next version of 23 ultra.. I’m totally happy with android system.. I’m also replacing my MacBook and ipad now .. apple just wants you to get trapped in their system and keep spending money

My main thing is having the dedicated back button on a Galaxy. I currently have a S21 (upgraded from S8). Background: I grew up with Samsung phones. My first phone was the Samsung T429. Then the Gravity 3. TMobile MyTouch. I never owned an iPhone. My aversion to iPhones started with the easily cracked screens era. Fast-forward, I'm a graphic designer with a 2021 MacBook Pro and will always preach Mac laptops regardless of profession but I just do not like iPhones and no I dnt care abt FaceTime and iMessage ecosystem. I dont care abt the blue/green drama. I love the interface on Galaxy more than iPhone. I like to manually pay with my credit cards, not my phone. I've always been sort of hybrid. Granted, I don't embrace a lot of great features on any of the devices (I never use Siri or Google voice, multi-tasking, etc) but my most minimal usage peace of mind has always been with Samsung. Also yes, Samsung Galaxy phones are just more beautiful and reliable design-wise and durability-wise to me. LongBeachGriffy was right that the typical person getting an iPhone is only getting an iPhone...because it's an iPhone. Apple is King overall, yes. But that doesn't mean the common man will always agree with his ways.

I am due an upgrade very soon and I am totally torn on whether to switch to the Samsung S23 or stick with Apple. In my country Apple jacked up the prices so the base iPhone 14 is way overpriced at $250 at $70/month for 2 years. That's insane for what is a marginally better iPhone 13 with a different name. Samsung S23 is $100 cheaper. It just seems that the Samsung S23 is better value for what is offers over a barely changed iPhone 14. I have to choose the Samsung Galaxy. Why? The ability to multitask is far superior on the Samsung. I run google maps, music and a dash cam app Autoboy at the same time with split screens while I am driving. I can also run google maps, Weise, KZbin and the dash cam app simultaneously. Apple just can't do that. I also use the stylist on my Note 10+ to sign documents and resend to people that need my approval. I also have the ability to extend my internal memory with the Samsung Note 10+ with the micro-SD card expansion. I added a 1 Terabyte micro-SD card. Try that with your apple iPhone. Hands down the best for me is the Samsung product.

60Hz is definitely a deal breaker for me. I won't be looking at any other specs if the screen is below 90 Hz. 60Hz is straight up not acceptable in 2023. Of course, this is a personal opinion, but as long as Apple doesn't include anything above 90 Hz, there is no way I'd consider it as an option, especially after using my S21. I had used iPhone 7 for 4 years and the only reason for me to not switching to iPhone 12 was also the refresh rate. They should have not put QHD in S23. FHD is okay in base S23. It adds to the battery consumption tbh.

@@cameronbosch1213 No? It's sharp. Hell even on my S23 Ultra the difference is negligible for most people between FHD and QHD

Hi, I know the feeling, everyone around me has an Iphone, but I also like to stick with Samsung. My problem right now is that I have the possibility to buy the S23 for just 700 euros, and I get a free galaxy tab a8 with it + 200 euro cashback, so in total this would be 500 euros for a S23 and tab a8. I'm not sure if I should keep my current one or upgrade to S23 so I would like to hear the opinion of someone else. My current phone is the S10

On s23 now. In Canada, pre-order was a massive deal to me. Trade-in an s9 forgotten in the basement, after all credits and a voucher it came out at $605+tax in Canada. Sweet to me. Coming from an s20, camera and battery are substantially improved. Rest is same. On a side note iphone 14 has better camera but that's about it...

@Matthew Moniz Love it. Good not massive upgrade from s20. I think if you have an s21 or s22, no need to upgrade but anything below s20 is day'n' night . Only things they missed is 45 W charger in the box . And the capability to charge at that speed. Pathetic to me. Been a Samsung guy for 17y now and I upgrade my phone every 3y, but I was ready to go OP11. I was that close. For many reasons that we both know. Well, good I didn't..but will seriously consider in the future

I would say that S23 has a better photo camera which can take good videos and iPhone has an excellent video camera which can take good photos. I am more of a photo person so I would get the S23 plus it has better portrait mode. But for a video person as he said iPhone is the way

@GSPA100 got a voucher for signing in for pre release event live streamed all over the world. Value was $100. To my knowledge this is the deepest discount I have ever seen from Samsung prior to a new phone release. Again...I traded in a garbage s9 that I forgot I have in the basement of my house.

I wish they would just give the Pro a decent telephoto and i'd be sorted. The S23 to me seems more competitive with the current pro judging by the camera system - not sure about anything else.

So swiping up to unlock your device is more convenient then just putting a thumb on it? In winters you still have to use your thumb to swipe up after the face id works.

I don't think you mentioned that the S23 has an always on display, did you? For me, that's a big deal. I love the S23 and I think that overall it's a better phone but the biometrics aren't great and that's a deal breaker for me. The fingerprint scanner doesn't work all the time...if you have a glass screen protector it's terrible (yes, I know you have to re-register your fingerprints and enable touch sensitivity it's still very bad). I wound up going with a plastic screen protector which is better with fingerprints, but still not perfect. Also, the face unlock is really bad so don't count on that as your main way to unlock. I wound up enabling smart unlock which allows me to just swipe up to unlock when I'm at home. The iPhone's Face ID works literally all the time in ALL lighting conditions. It's smooth, seamless, and reliable. I would gladly have a notch on a Samsung phone any day to get that reliable and consistent unlock experience.

I’m fighting myself. I want the S23 because it sounds like the smarter purchase, but I can’t seem to mesh with Android OS as easily as I have with iOS for the past 9 years. Also, i can’t let go of my Airpods Pro. I know right? Not the best earbuds, and very expensive. And i know i can use them with Android phones, but it’s not the best synchronization between the devices.
