Well, there wasn't really much to say about this year's S line.. Just an incremental upgrade from last year's models, no matter how big the Samsung merketing about "THE NEXT BIG THING" was.. All the AI features come directly from the Google Pixels so.. The biggest upgrade is the 1440p display on the Plus model and my S6 had it 8 years ago LOL

In Australia at least Samsung always has discounts on these phones! They also have a special discount for university students, where currently you can save 30% off RRP, plus trade in (and a $150 trade in bonus discount on top of that)!

Kind of curious of this as well. I mean, phone can only do so much with editing compared to a desktop or laptop, right? Maybe there are a lot who does it that is why they went with providing a better AI help video editing.

I just ordered my light blue S24U. Trading in my S23U. Between the deep discount for pre-ordering and the trade-in, I got the unlocked 512Gb model for $628. It's worth it for me for the live translation alone. But your use cases may not make it worth upgrading.

The new chip is faster than the iPhone. New screen 2600 nits. 7 years of Android and security updates More RAM on the ultra base model. Improved camera performance on ultra. Bigger sensor and better image stabilisation.

I mean probably, especially the features that are NOT ON DEVICE. as they don't depend on the new HARDWARE. but the ON DEVICE features may not be coming to older phones due to lack of the NEWER HARDWARE which is required for those features.

I just installed Windows instead on my 15 Pro Max, and my god the gaming experience is just next level. surprising why Apple doesn't advertise this more, maybe because Windows is from Microsoft, and they might be working on making MacOS install on it instead, maybe then they will advertise it. But then, I don't know how the gaming experience would be.
