Well, my experience had been hampered somewhat, you see since moving from iOS to Android the porting of stuff from the iPhone to the S24 Ultra was appalling, passwords didn't go over and music is all messed up beyond belief and pictures.... my lord if I thought music was a mess my gallery is like pfffffff wtf so the initial experience was 🤬 but the hardware I can't fault and I've gotten used to using the phone and like it a lot.

Samsung S24 Ultra is a very good phone, that's true. But so are Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Honor Magic 6 Pro, Vivo X100 Pro, Oppo Find X7 Ultra and One Plus 12. Actually Xiaomi and Vivo are even better for zoom photos and for night/low-light photography.

Yes. i have owned and reviewed all of them. while some aspects of their cameras are better as actual phones they are not as good, AI, software, S-Pen etc.... this was not a camera comparison video... also done one of them!

It's not that the fold 5 is the worst ever, it's very good, but it's more or less the same same as the fold 2, that I had, while others have progressed and made wider phone's (software not as good) samsung has delivered the same phone for 4 straight year's

Agreed. The S24 Ultra's photo quality is really dissapointing. Xiaomi, OnePlus, Oppo, and Huawei all take better photos than the S24 Ultra. Samsung needs to incorporate better hardware and software algorithm that does not heavily rely on AI.

I had the Samsung Fold 1,2,3 &5. The 3 screen just died. The 5 was better but the cameras were just too poor after coming from a S23 Ultra.

I've decided to trade in my Fold 4 for the S24U, purely because I just can't trust it to last too long beyond the 2 year warranty, and I've already had it repaired once already. The hardware and functionality of the S24U has made the choice for me. I'll miss the functionality of the Fold, but not the reliability.

My Z Fold4 still works great after one and a half years of usage. I did buy an S24 Ultra to go along with it for situations where I need better cameras for video recording. In terms of my next foldable, I am waiting to see what OnePlus has to offer this year as I am tired of the narrow outer display.

Yeh samsung is the best although its giving you the trash and inferior camera hardware and trying to coverup with software processing that also this time totally garbage. Lots of sharpening, 80% of the time missed the edge detections, pictures with lots of purple tint, wideangle photoes sucks by its old generation lense using since S20 series. But yeh samsung is best although charging you the heck of the money for the best crap bundle of tech. Yeh samsung is the best😂😂

I share your opinion as much as I can considering I haven't had the opportunity to use the same number of phones as you. I do think that if the X7 Ultra had a global ROM it would be a much closer race between the 2. In fact I think I might choose the X7 over the S24U. I think OneUI would still have a slight lead but OPPO has far better hardware. The one thing I disagree with you about is the Zfold 5. I'm not going to sit here and say it's the best foldable on the market because I've only had 2, the zfold 5 and the OnePlus Open, and given the choice I would choose the Zfold 5 not only because I love OneUI, but for me that narrow outer display is just super one hand friendly.

The S24 Ultra without a doubt is one of the best smartphones of 2024. I have been using it for almost three months now and it is a joy to use. The display on this phone fixed two major gripes that I had with the S23 Ultra which were the PWM and curved display. Even though the Galaxy S24 Ultra is a great phone, there are two things that I do not like. The first thing that I do not like is the photo quality. The photos from the S24 Ultra do not live up to the expectations as it relies way too much on AI. I even find the photo quality to be better on the OnePlus 12. Hopefully, Samsung gives us better camera hardware on the S25 Ultra and rely less on AI for photos. Second, no microSD card slot. Since we now know that Samsung is working on a microSD card with SSD like speeds, the microSD card is slow argument will soon be dated. They needs to bring this feature back next year.

Yes I'm guilty of taking too many pictures of my German Shepherd LOL.. I have the pixel 8 pro and the s24 ultra.. and when it comes to taking pictures of the dog, the Pixel is worlds better, world's sharper and always in focus... Samsung cameras just are not good at animal photos.. one slight movement and they are blurry.. this is my experience and I've owned every pixel and every note end ultra phone.. plus the z fold 5. Again I love both phones but Samsung phones are not great for animals .. but such a good camera otherwise and so many options

But I miss that large, strong screen of the Ultra 24. The Ultra 24 indeed is a beast of a smartphone. (Too) expensive, but you get a lot for your money. I would love to use both devices simultanously. But I am not rich, so I am selling the Ultra 24 😄

I bounced between choosing the Honor V2 and then the vivo fold for the last few months. In the end, i picked up my S24u Monday just gone! Moved away from Google Pixel since the first one. Loved google, but not much has changed in the last few iterations and hence got bored of them. Loving the S24u, it's very refreshing, and the new UI is brilliant and very snappy.

All valid points and people that have used iphones for a long time, like my wife before she moved to my Vivo X Fold 2, don't realize how easy Android is too use if you want it to be simple, because they've been sold on the idea that Android is scary and very hard to use. She now knows that's true if you want to dig deep, but if you just want to use your phone simply like you can with an iPhone, you absolutely can do that on Android and still have a great experience.
