The S24 is running One UI 6.1 not 6.0 so i think its just the AI that got improved and makes the pictures more crisp, the Update for One UI 6.1 will also release for S23

@@thcsnake Do your own research, take pictures now and then when the update comes. Maybe you'll see the difference. I've taken photos on a few phones not only from Samsung but other brands like Huawei, Xiaomi and after the new models were released suddenly the old models were taking worse photos than before. But they can't admit it because it would be a scandal and no one reviews 1 year old phones again and try to take pictures like when they were released. There it would be proven I think.. (like for example Iphone never wanted to admit that it slowed down old phones but in the end it was proven that it actually slowed them down..)

@@Symmetryinlife source is my common sense. But I can tell you how I noticed it: 1) camera jumps in quality at the same FOV (at 10x) in both video footages. On the real s24 the jump should happen sooner (at 5x) 2) 5x optical zoom photo (S24) is blurrier (because it's S23 cropped) than the 3x optical zoom (S23) 3) The moon phase is wrong (dude is either lying about having s24u or he's a time traveller)

S24 crushes highlights compared to the S23. S24 is also producing a brighter but much flatter overall picture, sucks some of life out of the picture. However, AI Zoom is very effective. Thanks for the videos!

Ugh, you've almost got me convinced to get the S24 now. The 24 seems to sharpen images a bit better but on the boat you can tell it lost some clarity around the text.. clearly looks like ICMS on the 23 but mushes together like IOMS or IQMS on the S24. And with the moon pics it seems like the 23 may have had slightly better sharpness around some of the edges but the contrast is so much better on the 24.

I did my own test with both 23 and 24 ultra and overall the 24 is better especially low light and video but.. it went 1 step backwards with the 100x zoom i prefer the 10x optical on the 23 than 5x digital cannot always compensate

What isn't being shown is how, from 5X - 9.9X, the S24U will absolutely mop the floor with the S23U because of that 5X/50MP lens. From 10X on, looks like the S23U is a little better for the most part, but only a little. If you shoot in the intermediate range, the S24 is a clear winner. /experience, just got wife an S24U, I have an S23U. At 7.5X, the S24U blows the doors off the S23U.
