I don't see enough incentive to upgrade from S23 Ultra, let alone from S24 Ultra. In 2025, I would expect a new flagship phone to have a 6.000 mAh new generation silicon-carbon battery. This is the biggest feature that S25 Ultra is missing, in my opinion.

I use the s-pen constantly as a remote for the camera on my S24 ultra. This is a tremendous deal breaker. Hopefully Samsung stops being like Apple by taking features away instead of adding features. Let's see if they bring this back next year. I use the s-pen on my tablet too for pausing and unpausing videos like this one while watching KZbin. Only thing I like about the s25 ultra is that processor speed difference

Don't hold your breath. Aside from the Micro SD card slot coming back in the Galaxy S7 after they removed it from the Galaxy S6, no hardware feature that Samsung has removed FROM A PHONE has ever been brought back so far.

@6:20 --great observation! I kinda lamented they went to a slot style for the speaker. I know its aesthetically more pleasing to most but i thought it could have consequences for the sound quality, or at least the soundstage (narrower, less full sounding)...almost like they didnt want to backtrack completely so this is the adjustment. They sure didnt seem to have it figured out on the s24 series but the zfold 6 was noticeably upgraded so i think they had already done some tinkering. Glad so see them taking it seriously. The s23u was quite solid but still not iphone pm level (i doubt these beat it but probably a much, much closer contest and good enough for 99% of users!). Thanks again. No other sound tests out there that i could find just yet. Dunno if thats because no one cares or Sammy making people be conservative on what they can reveal. But kudos to you in any case sir!

I don't know what people are on, maybe it's just nostalgia speaking, but S25 Ultra looks much better. Previous designs were awful to hold and use. You could easily use those corners as a self-defense weapon. If they drop the S Pen next year, and get a bigger battery in, I'll gladly go for S26 Ultra.

Great review ........ love the new design wasn't a fan of the box look , best phone on the market by far ......iPhone doesn't compare when it comes down to the A1 and alot of the features . I can see people not liking that the Spen has no BT but with all the new AI you can speak to the phone now and ask it to do things . Personally i don't use the spen for much ,if Samsung made this phone without the Spen i would get that one . Maybe in the future they can make a mini ultra about 6.4 inches that would be perfect size . But any way new Classy look the phone looks premium . like it !!

I don't know where Samsung get the data and how they did the study to decide removing capabilities of the S Pen but for sure to me is more a matter of cost reductions then anything else.The air gestures was a really huge step,now is more a dead pen who is there just to use even less times since it will be used just to write once a while.Just to reduce a few grams who most of people will not notice at the end..very poor justification.I have been using note series since the 8 generation and with introduction of the air gestures just moved the s pen and the mobile to another level. I was with high expectations for the s25,they have made some improvements, yes and I was almost ordering but after watching your video and getting the confirmation the air command was removed.Bravo Samsung you have lost a client because of few pennies on your pocket...what a clever studies you have done?Maybe in people who are not using the phone for business purposes for sure or just because is fashion have a pen just because...I have more 3 friends who will also not upgrade due the removal of air gestures.Come on Samsung, this mobile is for another segment...for fashion mobiles, you already have the s25 or s25 plus and or maybe later on the slim version.Mainting Bluetooth s pen will not hurt no-one but give extra pennies for you...

All devices that can connect to the internet can anonymously send telemetry data to the manufacturer so they can know what features you use or don't use often. That's how they make their decisions for future products. Xbox has it. PlayStation has it. PC has it. Cars have it. Telemetry data is nothing new.

@PSYCHOV3N0M I was making a sarcastic comment, it is a common sense all the mobiles are providing info even when you think they aren't.The question here is precisely that,if they have all the data and are sure about the interpretation they have done, then, what is the point to have a s pen who is coming back to the primitive stage?People who are buying( I am talking about people already knowing the product and using it from previous generations) this specific equipment they are expecting to make use of s pen or at the least be able in case of need having a pen with more capabilites then having a simple pen inside of a hole.Next year I am quiet sure air gestures it will come again as a new feature 🤣 unless they decide to kill the Ultra and merge it in a new name like S26plus ultra 🤣.I honestly think is more like they didn't have time to find alternatives to the Bluetooth system and at last hour they decided to remove some hardware to shrink the mobile and save some bucks at same time and as an strategic excuse, to not show their incapability to find a solution they decided to mention the studies and highlighting reduction in the weight....blablabla...weight of the Spen battery and internal charger for the pen is not what as made the big difference,it helps to reduce but not the principal.Round corners,means less metal and less glass and small improvements in the internal components helps a lot to weight reduction.Apart from that in terms of production they have saved also a lot of bucks because the design in general is almost similar to S24 ultra meaning moulds and setups in production and the re-use of certain internal components are not so costly then redesign a new mobile from scratch...My opinion, in one year we will see what it will be the consequences of that...Maybe a new marketing approach will pop-up with a new alternative to the bluethoot technology and the air gestures will be implemented as a new future once again.But not these year because it is on premature stage...or they didn't t have time to do a better job.Let's hope, less sales for the S25ultra will contribute to Samsung weakup and do a better job next time. The lack of new developments on the competitor in special in the most expensive one as already started the alarm.

If the S pen no longer has bluetooth connectivity then why does it still have its side button? What if they have simply disabled the BT features and may enable them in a future update? I've never had an ultra so I don't know if that button serves any function other than BT features.

Side button doesn't need BT when it's close to the phone, but remote shutter function requires BT, as it is far away from the phone. This is basically like S24U pen, when it runs out of battery.

Titanium. The model last year looked very cold like the iPhone 15 pm titanium (even colder/grayer) if I recall. This is much more of a warm/brownish titanium which looks very nice imo. Still, I wanted something to stand out so I got the pink gold which basically looks like a 🍑

I am using a Pixel 7.. Was waiting for S25 ultra, but seeing that nothing much is new, I am now confused (hoped for silicon carbide battery, fast charging, 16GB RAM, 50MP front camera) Shall I upgrade or no? Getting 512GB for 1000 bucks with pre -order offers.

There is NO reason to need 16gb of RAM. Hate it for the SPen, but 0.001% of the users ever used the air gestures, now people want to bitch about it. There was absolutely no reason for Samsung to put a bigger battery into this device. The S24U already had one of the best battery life performance on the planet. And with the S25U having a smaller 3nm architecture, a MUCH more efficient processor, chipset and memory, it will have much better battery life than the S24U did. Have been using my Note 8 as a trusted work horse, but seriously and desperately running out of internal memory now, in spite of moving all eligable apps to the 256 Gb external SD-card... Anyway, 7-8 years proved right for both my wallet as well as the planet, so the S25 Ultra will be a nice next step forward towards the future 🙂

For the record, the heat tests between the S24U and the S25U, the S25U was several degrees cooler during extreme torture tests, because the smaller architecture SOC doesn't heat up as much, even though it's much more powerful. So you were wrong about that. Just a note.

UNLIKE many other people, my biggest disappointment is NOT the subtraction of bluetooth from the SPen, although I do hate it also. But considering the lack of use of air gestures over the past year, I can understand it. My biggest disappointment is actually a MUCH MORE TRIVIAL thing than that even. During the leaks over the past several months, I saw a leak where this phone had SQUARCLE (Or squared circles) CAMERA LENSES ON THE REAR, AND THEY LOOKED A MILLION TIMES BETTER AND MORE MODERN THAN THOSE SAME OLD CIRCULAR LENSES ON THE REAR. It would have made this the most beautiful phone in history, although it still looks really good. But, that being said, WHY CAN'T SAMSUNG UNDERSTAND THAT NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE DESIGN IS, AT SOME POINT PEOPLE GET TIRED OF LOOKING AT THE SAME THING!!!!?????????? The squarcle cameras were gorgeous on that leaked pic of this phone, and I truly wish Samsung would have implemented it into this device. Also, a slightly larger battery, faster wired/wireless charging and LEAVE THE FREAKING SPEN ALONE!!!!!!! Lol. This is no doubt the greatest phone on the planet. But we always want more...

How to get around the S 25 ULTRA S Pen downgrade but with a hassle factor. Would a charged Bluetooth S Pen still operate with the same features of earlier Ultra phones if we could pair it with the S25 Ultra? I assume that the button will still work in One UI 7 on my S24 Ultra. If so, the functionality should already be programmed into the code of One UI 7 that comes with the S25 Ultra. I am not sure how to charge an S Pen to work with the S25, but it might be an opportunity for someone to come up with a convenient way to do this without having an awkward or bulky charger. I had a pen for my S21, but having another bulky USB device to charge the pen was a pain. I love the new camera features on the S25, but I think I will have to see what comes with the new One UI 7 when it drops for the S24 Ultra.
