I have a note 3 and it uses 7 and half hours of battery life on daily use. But go power master bumps it to 10 and a half hours. This grayscale display is really smart because Samsung panels still uses a lot of light and drain battery, when brightness is zero and power saver on. But this is heavy use with 4G and wifi switching and Web and emails surfing with occasional videos playing.

In my opinion i think it is great phone. I have an s5 but i want s5 because of ultra saving,camera and the new clean UI. some people complained about s4 because of storage limitation. I agree but i think they fixed this in s5. I think it has all features of s4 and IR BLAST because i saw pre-installed app called(remote control). watch on is also available in samsung apps.

Every one expected an over haul of the GS5 .. Samsung themselves said that they ARE NOT going to do that because they are looking to go back to basics. With that being said I haven't gotten a chance to mess with it but out the gate I don't like the design of it, I think they should have stayed with the faux leather. but other than that I'm pretty intrigued by it. No one else on the market has a processor that fast and with kit kat running little In the background you will see ALL THAT SPEED.

Everyone complains about how battery life needs to be improved but when Samsung has a fix for that everyone bashes the material designs and the material itself. Id rather have a great battery option then metal.

I had an iphone 4s switched to android and got a galaxy note 2 because I found that apple haters were right: they don't change anything...crank up the processeur and bump up the price well now that i'm seeing that samsung is doing the same thing i'm switching back to apple at least it's a quality aluminum device huge disapoinment i was expecting a lot from the S5...

Honestly instead of them jamming a ton of features that people will never use into a phone they should just do custom phones by the order you select the features and things you want for the phone thus creating a more flexibly pricing scale for customers and lower cost for Samsung in that not every phone has to use expensive parts or software.

things I would change on the s5: a better look of the phone I really don't like the look of it. I want something that look sleek and modern. I would take the protection flaps off and I would take away the heart thing cause I don't think the everyday person is going to use it I know im not. and I would make it a little thinner and I would do different colors I hate that gold phone the most

Note 3, it isnt waterproof like the s5, but it provides the same features but on a bigger, and slicker design, and of course you have the iphone... which hasnt changed a bit

It's kind of funny that he says your not going to get sand or water In your earphone jack but as an s5 owner there is no flap so ya it's going to happen any way but overall great phone and good for listening to music in the shower but be warned. If you complete submerge it the speaker will sound bad until the water clears up and your Samsung will keep thinking you have headphones plugged in but you don't
