most reviewers say that both phones are the same apart from the edge screen. Your excellent close up review of both handsets show different, small differences but they are there. specially with the buttons. I have seen most popular reviews android authority pocketnow and so on, but no one has managed to point out these difference as well as you. These differences are very good for me to know. For me, the Edge isn't worth the extra cost. I also held one at Best Buy and I didn't like the in-hand feel. Additionally, I noticed that when I was gripping it normally, I couldn't interact with the screen to swipe with a finger from the same hand (like palm rejection wasn't working). Pretty happy with my regular S6.

I'd go for the "standard" Galaxy S6 because I like recycling my devices when they get old, and flash custom ROMs. So the edge at that point would be useless if you were running something like a stock-android-like firmware.

S6 Edge please now, just take my money. Really I want it because oh look another flat (but very good looking) panel. Some may argue gimmick, but wasn't the first fablet (Galaxy Note) at 5 inches a gimmick? I'll buy it to push sales myself as little as that is and hope it will be a contributing factor that innovations like this are continued and keep OEM's on their toes.

Hello there first of all great reviews on these 2 amazing phone's personally I prefer the s6 Edge over the s6 because of the unique design and the curved screen on both sides of the display & I've pre-ordered mine for today so can't wait 2 finally get the phone I've gone for the 64gb version but not sure on which colour I'm getting just yet because I like both the Gold & White so once again great review & keep the amazing video tech review's coming.

Very well said. Clearly, the Edge isn't for everyone, which explains why Samsung released two variants of the same phone. The added functionality won't appeal to everyone, and thus will not warrant an extra $100. With that said, some of us thoroughly enjoy the unique premium design. I love the Edge, because I know that there are currently no non-Samsung phones like it. It looks beautiful, and feels great in the hand. Either way, I believe that Samsung did a great job of addressing the criticisms of the past and hit one out of the park with both phones. Your review is a great example of that.

I listen to a lot of music on my phone, and I was wondering if the Touchwizz music player is "gapless", if you know what I mean. Honestly in my opinion, Samsung are a very good brand and especially in cameras, but when it comes to front facing, why do they just slack back and dont make it sharp. For example if you look at the s5 camera, the back is exceptionally good but the front lacks the sharpness that me and im pretty sure everyone is looking for, and now with the s6 edge n s6 im seeing the same thing. Do you think Samsung should work harder on their front cameras or nah? I think they should, if u compare it with others. But anyways nice video and keep up the great work!

I personally prefer the Edge due to its exclusive feature, but at the end I think that the classic S6 will do everything in the same way, letting us to save more money. And by the way, I don't know why Samsung decided to focus so much on notification functions for the edge display, while we are in a period in which there are a lot of smartwatches. My doubt is: if the edge display is useful for notification, I may be happy, but in the near future we will be immersed in a internet of things environment with notifications everywhere, so why do I need an edge display? Samsung has not answered yet ;)
