Zed Rameses I use the Edge features a lot, mainly because I downloaded an Edge panel that let's me lock my screen with a software button and also has a Screenshot software button which thankfully saves me the hastle to press the Home and Power Key at the same time to take a screenshot. It also has a home key software button so I can have a consistent touch based experience without pressing on the annoying physical home button which adds inconsistencies in a touchscreen phone in my opinion. I use Edge feed to activate fingerprint scanner when the phone is in standby so I don't need to press home key/ power key to wake up the phone before the fingerprint scanner is ready to scan my finger.

Zed Rameses it's a software feature and you don't need the Edge to have that. Pure gimmick to justify the Edge display. I tried the Edge and it was awful, silly design for design sake. The fingerprint sensor was hit and miss and my Tab S3 is even worse, not well done Samsung. As for updates of Android, no point buying expecting that, if you get one years you are lucky, Sony, HTC and Apple at least try to give three years updates. This is now very cheap so at less than half the cost of the s8 plus it is a good buy despite the many issues, though there are many other choices that I would buy over any Samsung device.

Almost bought it when it released. It is still working like it was new to this day. I dopped it a couple of times so the phone got some dead pixels. Also one crack in the corner so i can't have it in water im guessing.

Hi, thanks a lot! I meant that I love OnePlus 3T smartphone. It is the best phone under $450. However, I would recommend the Galaxy S7 edge if you can get it for a similar price (for better camera, water resistance, display).

I have my S7 edge for 2 weeks now and I love it! I mean offcourse the s8 is better and looks better but still this s7 edge is amazing. The only bad thing I have now is that all the glass screen protectors suck because of the edge. I love the looks of the bend screen.

could you tell me why by any chance? for me they're about the same price. 3t is faster and more durable, hasn't quite got the features the s7 has but still has a pretty decent camera. S7 has the better display but is 1440p necessary for a phone? one thing I do prefer with s7 is the size. Any help would be appreciated. I would say I mainly use my phone for apps and browsing and when I'm home KZbin. to a lesser degree I use the phone for camera and gaming. I don't remember which phones battery is better though

hairline scratches yeah, there are some... but I didn't really take care of the phone. the is much more sturdier than it looks like. However, I already switched to the Galaxy S8.. just to have the latest phone but I still use the S7 edge

S7 edge is clearly a better deal at the moment but if you can get a good deal on a contract, take the S8. It is simply a newer phone that has probably the best design in the market

I personally love the edge screen and keep it simple, I use only one edge panel and that is the device maintenance. That way I have all my ram and storage and anti virus software at the swipe of a button, it keeps my phone in perfect working order because atleast twice a day I wipe the cached data from the ram and clean up spam files that have made their way onto my phone.

I'm actually considering buying the S8 now :) . I've seen lots of comparison reviews between S8 and S7 Edge and I felt like it's worth the upgrade. I'm currently using a Note 5 which is a very strong phone and I still love it but I found it very big and too heavy for my little hands. Good luck with your choice !

thanks! Exynos is better optimized for Samsung phones but in general, the difference is negligible. I would still take Exynos, just make sure that phone is compatible with your local 4G bands
