This is awesome. Thank you for this. My question is when do I stop during this process when just replacing a broken screen? I have had a run of bad luck and had to use all my insurance claims and really cant afford a shop. I am going to try and fix it myself but I'm not sure if it entails anything not shown here. Any feedback would very much appreciated. I understand that an expert should do it but the expert was once a noob and I dont have many options at this time.

OK. Impressive. However this was a complete teardown which is something few would want to try without either being in a class being taught, or with multiple defunct tablets to practice/get experience on, and make multiple mistakes on. What I'd be interested to know is whether, after removing the screen, replacing it can been done immediately and all the stripping from the back, avoided.

Watchingthis video because I just bought a the model smt387w which is the tab a 8-in. And everything's fine on this except for the charging port so it looks like from there so that the charging port has been totally yanked out. so I opened it up and it looks like not only is the charging port not there there is the flexible cable that still there like sadly just you know hanging out doing nothing cuz it's got nothing to attach to but they've also looks like yanked out things that run beside to the left into the right of the charging port at the bottom that looks like it goes into the speaker and then some other unit to the left so I don't know why they would have done that but I'm hoping that this video helps me out

I'm having issues with the WARNING moisture in usb port,, ive tried pretty much all yt vid ways,, my last resort will be replace type C port on this,,, what do you recommend, shall I try doing it or shall I just buy new tab, its only 2years 3 months old,, just out of warranty, typical samsung, its never left my room and has never had liquid on it, yes moisture can come from weather patterns but even the hairdryer trick hasn't worked,,, I hate samsung

Is the ram of tab s4 soldered? Is it possible to upgrade by replacing the 4gb one with a 6 or 8 gb one? Rom, instead? Can the 64gb one be replaced with a 128 0 256?

I'm fairly sure it's soldered. Doing an upgrade would be extremely hard.
