Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic | #5 - Developer Mode and Co | Tips and Tricks for your Watch

According to Android sales, Samsung is what Apple is with the Apple Watch and its Galaxy Watches. And Samsung continues to make great strides in the field of smartwatches. After switching from Tizen to WearOS with the Watch 4, the Watch 6 Classic continues this trend after the Watch 5 and also comes with an adapted WearOS 4 interface.
Generation "5" still differentiated between the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro, but now we have returned to the logic of the Watch 4 and named the models Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic. And yes, the bezel is back on the Watch 4 Classic. The Watch 5 Classic once again has a physical rotating bezel, after the predecessors only had a digital version.
Back on board is the BioActive Sensor, which allows monitoring of body function values (optical heart rate, electrical heart signal and bioelectrical impedance analysis) with one sensor. ECG and blood pressure are measured, as well as heart rate, blood oxygen and stress. Samsung itself says that the measurement is more accurate because the surface with skin contact has been enlarged. By the way, the measurement can also be performed during sleep, because sleep phases, snoring and the blood's oxygen content are measured there. The whole thing is supplemented by a sleep coach, which is supposed to show you the optimal wake-up phase.
The batteries are unfortunately a problem again in this generation, according to the first tests, and come with 300 mAh in the small case variant and 425 mAh in the larger 47mm version.
Especially for users of the Watch 5 Pro, like me, this means significantly less capacity (the Watch 5 Pro still had a 590 mAh battery), which will also have a significant impact on runtime.
Unfortunately, the smaller battery does not help when it comes to weight either, because the Watch 6 Classic is "fatter" with 59 grams in the large version than the Watch 5 Pro with 46.5 grams. Incidentally, titanium is history as the case material, and now stainless steel is used again in the Classic version and aluminum in the normal version.
It is certainly also interesting for many that the watch glass is once again made of sapphire glass and protects a display with a maximum diagonal of 1.5 inches and 480 x 480 pixels resolution on the Watch6 Classic.
A slightly increased 2 GB of RAM and a constant 16 GB of storage space are impressive. The processor has also changed slightly, namely the Exynos W930 and thus an update to the predecessor is installed.

Gutes Video. Aber als Nachttischuhr das Display auf daueran wird mit Sicherheit Burn-In bringen. Deswegen besser lassen

Das ist bei den heutigen Displays vor allem beim Wechsel am Tag in den Normalmodus beinahe ausgeschlossen. Dafür nutzen die paar Nächte mit unterschiedlichen Tagen usw das Display nicht ab. Aber über Jahre sollte man es nicht jeden Tag machen, da gebe ich Dir Recht.

Hi, hab in den Entwickler Einstellungen den Eintrag "smart Helligkeit" gesehen. Weiß jemand was das mit der "Helligkeit" anstellt bzw warum das "smart" ist?

Das weiß ich leider auch nicht auswendig. Steht nichts dabei? Könnte was mit der adaptiven Helligkeit zu tun haben. Auf der anderen Seite sind Teile der Optionen ja auch von normalen Android Geräten übernommen. Vielleicht hat es auch quasi "keinen" Effekt. Zur Not sichern und ausprobieren.

@@WeLoveTechDE Hat keinen Effekt, weil es so "smart" ist das es sich jedesmal ausschaltet wenn man die Entwickler Einstellungen verlässt...vllt noch nicht ganz fertig oder freigegeben durch Samsung/Google.

Cooles Video. Mich interessiert aber eher wie du dein Zifferblatt eingestellt hast das es komplett in Schwarz Weiß ist? Wenn ich einen Schwarzen Hintergrund wähle und Weiße Zeiger, dann werden die Elemente in der Mitte (Puls, Datum, Akku) bei mir in Rot dargestellt. Ich würde sie gerne komplett in Weiß haben, wie bei dir.

@@WeLoveTechDE hallo, danke dir das du geantwortet hast. Nein die Komplikationen Farbe kann man leider nicht ändern. Still = Schwarz, Farbe = Weiß. Und trotzdem werden sie Rot angezeigt. Ob es daran liegt das ich noch eine Galaxy Watch 4 Classic habe?!
