I upgraded from the frontier to the 5 pro, I thought I would miss the bezels, but I don't and I thought I would hate the new magnetic clasp strap(nope, best thing ever as it doesn't get caught up on stuff and is quicker to put on), well let's just say I was wrong on all my assumptions, but I don't see a need to upgrade to this new watch as I love this one so much.

I had the Galaxy Gear Watch 2 with the bezel and after time dirt got under the bezel and couldn't move anymore. With my watch 5 pro I'm glad there is no physical bezel.

@@catflap001 I used mine off roading, dirt biking and at work(banging it around on the Warfes). I didn't have any issues with it, but I did see a demo model at as store that was toast. You do realize that washing dirt of is a thing.

Currently wearing a 5 Pro. If the 6 Classic had the same size battery I would upgrade in a heartbeat, but I really like the three to four days of battery life I get with the 5 Pro. Maybe next year.

The physical bezel takes you previous space for battery. Essentially, battery life would always be better for the Pro version than the Classic version

I love the rotating bezels for Samsung watches, but I've had the 5 Pro for almost a year now and with doing hikes every day I still get about 2.5 days of battery out of it and for me that alone makes it a better buy. The fact that it's Titanium also helps a lot because I'm a klutz and walk into walls and get attacked by doors so it's nice knowing it's that much more durable and light. @@alb.4089

@@Junispro31 that is not true. the watch is 3mm bigger and the non classic watches are same size but also smaller battery, I was so excited to get a Watch6 because of the bezel, but not to go back to 1.5 or 2 days of battery.. SO disappointed. I didn't even need more than the watch5 pro, just close like 570mah.. guess I will wait for the next "classic" with a larger bezel

It's time to upgrade my Watch 4 Classic to the new Watch 6 Classic. I love the look, the larger screen size and the larger battery. I was mortified when they got rid of the bezel, so glad they have had a rethink.

It's same hear went fron watch 4 classic wast going to upgrade but got £125 trade in plus £75 Google play store voucher and had mine since 4th Aug dpd delivery from Samsung direct and it's awesome the clear screen bigger too and the battery is lasting longer as it learns with you oh its faster on Internet also stream music better yep never regretted it love it to say wasn't going to upgrade 👍👏👌

Honestly, once you get used to it , it's like it never existed. Plus, the screen is reassessed more on the 5 and better protected . My frontier and 4 I scratched the screen and bezel pretty quickly , maybe just because it's stainless steel vs. titanium, but having a lighter watch that's more durable and has a better battery life is a lot nicer than a bezel I almost never use . But I guess if you scroll sideways on your watch all day , it's worth it for a heavier , less durable , worse battery life watch you can turn a physical bezel on . 200 iq

There is one more important thing not mentioned in review. 5 Pro has a different GPS part, its actually dual band vs. single band GPS in 6. So GPS in 5 Pro is much more accurate and should have faster satellite fixes, also, should be better is areas with more difficult sky view. This can be very important information for those, who yould like to use GPS.GPS in 5 Pro is simply better.

There is a youtube video by The Quantified Scientist reviewing the Watch 6 classic an it shows that the GPS is almost exactly the same, he did 3 separate runs and they both were as inaccurate as each other. I googled everywhere and GSM arena doesnt list no Dual band (GPS, They both have dual band WLAN) for the watch 5 pro. I dunno what that even is... but they do connect the exact same way according to the specs, I know you own a watch 5 pro but don't just post false info because you wanna justify owning it because its not new an shiny anymore. ( I don't own either)

I'd love to have the bigger screen and the physical bezel of the 6 classic but the downgrade in battery size will make me stay with my Pro 5. I upgraded from the Active Watch 2 to the Pro 5 a few months ago and I can't imagine going back to barely making it through the day with a charge when I do lot of sport on a given day.

I got the Watch 5pro over 6 classic, was a 100 dollars cheaper and the battery lasts a day more than the 6 classic, also the digital bezel gets the job done for navigation

As a watch 5 pro owner I was thinking of getting a watch 6 classic, but I like my battery life. My watch gets almost 4 days before i have to charge it, and I can put it on the charger while i get ready for work and still have enough charge to get thru my work day. My only gripe is i wish it was the lte version so i could properly compare it to the watch 3 classic I owned, which would die half way thru my work day. I might pick up the watch 6 around Christmas when i know it'll go on sale for the holiday. But it depends on what the sale is

@@damnimhigh I think that may be true if you are in an area with low signal, but for me I turned off my Wi-Fi on the watch6 classic and it has gone down to 70% from 100% as of 9pm last night. Normally I would be at about 60% at this point, but I do think if I turned off my LTE I would be saving another 10% at least. I will try that tomorrow and see how it goes. :)

They're so different that I also kept my Watch 5 Pro. The S6 looks so beautiful but the battery sucks compared to my Watch 5 Pro but I got a Stainless Steel band for the 6 Classic and it's a beautiful watch. The battery on my Tic Watch 5 pro lasts more that both of my Samsung watches and my Pixel Watch.

I love my 5 Pro. If I want to use a rotating bezel which I rarely use. I would wear my S3 Frontier Refurbished from Amazon like new 2yrs old & still last a day & a 1/2. My 5 Pro just goes, 4 days plus.

I use to like the tactile feel of the bezel..until I went to the beach and did other outdoor fitness activities. The sound of sand crunching as I spin the bezel was life.hanging for me.

It's exactly why i sold my watch 4 classic 46mm, i went to the beach, realized on my way home it was crunching as i turned the bezel.. i cleaned it up and sold it on facebook marketplace to some poor soul rapid! 😂 was like.. nah i can't keep this now hahaha! i'm torn now whether to get another classic for the look as it looks great or get the pro for the titanium build.. titanium is tempting but the classic with the bezel looks great..

Got the Watch 6 Classic 47mm a few days ago. Finally time to upgrade from my ORIGINAL GEAR S😂. I miss the design of the Gear S, but so far, I'm enjoying the Watch 6 Classic. Charged it to 100% Wed. afternoon. I've done a 40 min. cardio workout Wed. & an hour & a half workout yesterday & I'm sitting on 44% battery this morning. So I like that👍

I am surprised the Gear S still works with the software on today's phones. I really enjoyed my Gear S, but there was an known issue with corroding charger pins, and the annoying clip on charger that would break easily. Still a great watch it was just ahead of its time.

@Gadgetonomy , well, I had it paired with my 2016 A9 Pro until I had to "upgrade" that in 2022 & Boost snuck a cheap ass Moto Pure G in on me. I did have the snap case break & was using a watch display holder & strapping that to the Watch to charge it. And in the last few months, it had been becoming more difficult to charge because of the corroded pins. It seemed to work better after my wrist was sweaty from working out. I love my Gear S but it's time to move on. If only Sammy would ONCE do a new tech watch with the Gear S throwback design.

It's not just about the features though. In my opinion the Watch 6 Classic just looks so much better, especially in silver. I was never happy with the bland appearance of the Watch 5 and it looked awkward on my wrist. Pair the silver Watch 6 with a decent band and watch face and it will look exceptionally premium.

I thought about getting the 6, but i was told that the biggest flaw of a rotating bezel is the risk of dirt and stuff getting trapped the mechanism over time which is why samsung took that out.... So I'm with Pro 5. But thats just me. I can navigate my phone quite well well with the touch bezel but it all depends on your preference of easiness or finger size...

One question I have is about competitors. I'm basically looking for the Samsung Galaxy watch 6 classic BUTTTT I need it to last about 6-10 days single charge. Any ideas? The only difference to me for these 2 watches is...the 6 does not have to be restarted to work with another phone, the 5 pro does. The 5 pro has a better battery.

Both watches run wearOS 4.0 with Samsung One UI 5.0 overlay, and similar hardware and sensors ..... of course, they will behave similarly. No surprise here! What would be interesting to see is the comparison between the Galaxy 6 classic to the older Galaxy 4 classic (with wearOS 4.0 and Samsung One UI 5.0 software upgrade) since the hardware is a bit older .... and slower, and sensors are a bit different -- no temperature sensor, etc. It's all about the software at this point. Samsung had promised to provide software support and upgrade thru 2025 so is it really necessary to upgrade the hardware and sensors (Galaxy 6 and beyond) until then? Granted that the additional temperature sensor will allow better data acquisition in the sleep, health and fitness apps. However, these functions may not be important to some people like myself since I decided that they are more of a "novelty" than real sciences ..... for now😢

The smaller battery kills any idea of upgrading. Samsung messed up with the classic. As much as I would love to have a bezel the battery life is just awful compared to the 5 Pro.

You are going to regret it. Android is way worse than tizen in watches. I don't know about the 6, but i have 4 classic and 3, i use 3 every day, battery and functions are really good, watch 4 battery is bad, and the experience is not the same. This is my experience.

the backup options on both watches are very different! the 5 pro has ALL the options for backup, restore to clous or smart switch. The watch 6 classic,...no restore, only automatic backup on cloud with no restore option. and no smart switch...
