Hi, Saki, Your videos are hands down some of the absolute best! I just started using my Flip 4 last night and today spent probably a couple of hours trying to figure out how to do selfies with the cover camera. All the other videos I saw talked about the feature but none of them showed HOW to set it up. Within the first minute or so of watching your video I learned that the power key is to actually be pressed rather than tapped! Thank you! I also learned several other features that will prove helpful. Excellent instructional videos!

I'm surprised you didn't mention turning on dark mode to save battery. given this phone has an AMOLED, so when your wallpaper or menus are BLACK the phone doesnt render those pixels, saving battery.

dark mode does save battery life on an OLED display. But you can further improve on this by using a wallpaper with a lot of black, and using a launcher like Smart Launcher that uses a black theme.

@@rokusbuie169 so far I love it! I went through this video again to set everything up and customize it about a week after having the phone, and it's made me enjoy the phone even more. The only thing I'd say, is the battery life isn't impressive, but i also use the battery protection setting to keep it from charging past 85%.

Great vid just got my Flip, there is one more cover screen customization you can do, so instead of the stock selection background, I have selected a bunch of photos from my gallery to display behind the time. at 5:05 on the vid, if you click "Background Image" you can choose from gallery to personalize a bit more!

I noticed when Saki changed the clock a grey box popped up saying you can't change the background. It went away after a couple of seconds. When I do it the box stays for several minutes. This also happens when I add an app to the home screen. Is there a way to shorten the time it shows?

Flip3 Cover screen not showing text messages: In "Settings", "Notifications", I have it set as "Detailed". In "Lock Screen", "Notifications," I have it set as "Details" and the "Hide content" is unchecked. In "App notifications", I have it checked for "All notifications"

It's more important not to drain the battery to really low than to charge it up to full. Depending on what type of battery, LiFePo4 can be charged to max all the time, although it shouldn't stay at 100% most of the time. Chances are the higher end phones come with Li-ion battery (for higher density), in which case just don't charge to max (stressing out the battery cell). At 85%, it should last at least 3 times as long. But most importantly, slow charging is better than charging to full, since fast charging degrades the cell more than full charging.

I just switched to the Z3 5g from a Galaxy 6😅The only reason is,they're ' turning off 'the 3g network and updates won't be provided to phones that can toggle down to 3g. My mom has a Galaxy 7 which she obviously purchased after me,and she's just now getting emails letting her know her phone will also stop working after the drop in service. If the phone still works, I'm not into buying a new one. Lol.

@@Arrycapilano the camera is the best I have ever had on a phone. The quality is amazing and so vibrant. The battery has been the worst, I only found out till after I bought it that because the phone is so thin since it folds, that means the battery is significantly smaller compared to other phones. So i have had to buy one of those power banks if I am doing lots of multitasking for most of the day, otherwise the battery dies. Another issue Ive had is the "bixby" voice feature was really over-sensitive, not sure if it was just my phone but literally anything you would say that didn't even sound like "bixby" would turn on the voice activation, which was really annoying, i ended up having to disable it completely so I cant do handsfree texting now. But overall it is a pretty good phone, in hindsight, and if I were to do it again I personally would not buy it again as I don't feel if was worth the money. I would probably go back to iphone for my next phone but thats just me haha. Anyways, hope this helped somewhat
