Interestingly enough, I bought the Razr + last year and even though it offered more than the Flip 5, it was still very buggy. In the end I ended up going back to Apple and got an IPhone 15 plus. Fast forward a year, I decided to give the flip 6 a try because of the upgraded camera and the Gen 3 chip. After a week of owning this phone, I am so happy I went with the Flip 6 this time around. It is just as fast as my iPhone 15 if not a little faster and takes great pics and vids. The only thing I find lacking is the battery life. It is just enough to get me through the day like you said, but I could go 2 to 3 days on my IPhone 15 plus on one charge. Still not a deal breaker for me though. Thanks for the video!

I've bought this phone, because i walk and hike a lot and my S23 Ultra is really uncomfortable and heavy to walk with. This phone works really fast and the camera quality is so great. I'm really surprised. The only difference between this phone and my S23 is the battery life.

I've noticed that KZbin influencers are still promoting these devices. The truth is that they are expensive, and their main selling point is the foldable feature, which doesn't justify their high price. Based on my experience, after the initial excitement wears off, you'll realize that you would be better off purchasing something like the excellent S24, which is currently heavily discounted. However, I understand that it's a matter of personal preference, and if you're really interested in the foldable feature, then the high pricing is just something you have to accept (especially outside the US). For sure, Samsung and others are improving these folding phones, and I feel that people should no longer be worried about durability, although the failure rate will obviously be higher than candy bar phones. The Flip6 seems much of a muchness compared with the competition, and people will probably choose it more on brand loyalty than other reasons.

If you catch these on a good trade in deal they really aren't that bad. The flip is actually less expensive than the other flagship phones anyhow.

Can you see the crease on the screen? It seems in some of the shots that you can see it in how the light hits it, which seems to create an odd highlight in the middle of the screen during the fullscreen video playback clip in your vid. What are your thoughts on the crease?

Yes you can see it when the light shines on it. However it's not nearly as pronounced as earlier versions.

I've had mine since yesterday. Still learning, but I am LOVING the customability, for example the font I am using has hearts for O's, and it's just so cute! The crease is completely unnoticeable. I don't like that some features aren't available, like being able to just swipe up and over to switch apps, or tap the top of the screen to scroll up-- and although the emoji style is cuter too, I just see boxes with [OBJ] inside of them when an iOS user uses emojis on a fb post or something (I thought I would just see the Android version of that emoji-- so now I'm thinking when I text emojis, am I just sending boxes? Because I mostly know iphone users...) I think there are apps and keyboards I can download to deal with these issues, however! And of course there's a learning curve 😊 It keeps you healthy to shake things up and have to learn a whole new system! I just love it so far!

Have had a couple phones last 5+ years in the past. it honestly should be a standard for phones to last longer considering how much they cost. But tbh i don't think this phone will last you that long unless your really careful and really lucky

@@DroidModderX My dad still uses his s8, 6 years later. The reason for this requirement is that I always used phones below 250$ (samsung a series, poco, xiaomi, poco). They usually lasted 2-3 years, either getting slow, the battery degrading, some of them just stopped working. I finally can buy a flagship, but the only way I can justify one is if I could say to myself "this is an investment. It will last". I know foldables aren't exactly the definition of a long lasting device, however judging by the improvements they made this generation I was thinking if it would be possible. I also love this form factor and it would make my experience of getting my first ever flagship even more special.

@@smolson8471 A lot of my family members with older flagships still use them 5+ years later. When I said to my parents that I want to get this phone, they said "there is no way this thing won't break". A lot of my friends have a similar opinion. But samsung made a lot of improvements this year and I've tested it at a store multiple times since launch. It feels very sturdy, with the only week point being the flexible screen. If I dropped it closed with a case and a screen protector on the outer screen it would most likely survive.

I had the first one and it loss pixels twice and the tech told me to trade my phone immediately when I picked it up because the screens on foldables weren't sturdy enough and they were repairing them daily due to pixel loss. I did and got the Ultra 23 but I really miss that phone.

@@cleopatrajones2024 It is overall more durable than the first gen. We are 6 gens out now. The hinge has been improved from the seal to the gel infusion to prevent dust ingress. Dust and debris getting under the display was the main reason for pixel loss from my understanding. These have been resolved. This phone is still less durable than a slab style phone, but much more sturdy than Gen 1

Terrible customer service, even if your phone doesn’t have a mark on it they will say it has visible signs of marks dents and dings and say the warranty is void, if your lucky they’ll say they’ll fix it if you pay £300 robbery fee, otherwise the warranty is worthless, you will have to use the phone with lines down or across its screen or massive crease in the middle, don’t buy this bs. Fakery all of it.

This screen is very unaccurate. It is very hard to press things that are very small. The folding mechanism already sounds gritty. Like it's picking up debris, opening and closing your phone throughout the day. Becomes very annoying, sacrificing. Good camera quality just to have a folda phone is not worth it. Plus with samsung software, this phone is just utter trash
