Yes. The fake one seems a bit faster, but it's not much, it at all. Also, I've had two occasions where the Gear wouldn't charge any further on the fake one, because it got too hot. I don't know if it also does that on the real charger, because I rarely use that one.

I got one from China and it is overheating my gear s3... I'm using fan to cool down... Without fan just discharge it on high temperature...

In this case probably not, because the watch did not get warmer than usual. There are wireless chargers however, which do make the phone or watch very hot. In that case, the battery will degrade faster.
