Samsung Gear S3 Frontier stuck on REBOOTING LOOP?

Lots of people seem to have this issue. No cleae fix that I can see. Any suggestions welcome.

After swimming My samsung gear sport was showing rebooting, after some time completely off n it was not taking charge. I kept it in windows for sun 3 4 days still no use I thought to give it for service center due to covid lock down service centers close. Then 15 days later it took charge and started automatically

I took my watch apart and cleaned the PCB flex connection points and the buttons with IPA, works great now

I had done a successful battery replacement a few years ago, and just did another hopeing that would work. Hair dryer didn't work either, so it's in a container of rice now for a few days. I have some old spray contact cleaner and wonder if that would work, but those contacts are tiny...wondering how to apply or contain the spray. Thanks for the idea. I may give it a try after the rice.

the same happened to my Gear S3 like 10 days ago, I let it dry and yesterday I used a hairdryer to take out all the moister, then put it on the charger, when it showed rebooting I pressed the power key repeatedly and did a hard reset then it worked. it may take a couple of times to work but in the end, it did. in the beginning, the bezel wheel didn't work but at the end of the day, IT IS WORKING AGAIN ...

Plug the charger in put the watch in the cradle when the light comes on the cradle hold both buttons on the watch until you see the Samsung logo keep holding it until the watch turns on and shows main screen let go of both buttons and don’t let the phone go to sleep until it start to show it charging don’t take it out of the cradle then it will start charging

A mí el reloj se me mojó e inmediatamente quedó en modo rebooting. Para solucionar el problema lo desarme u puse la placa al sol 1 hora volví armar y ya funcionó normal

This watch is not waterproof nor water resistance, the reason why it display such problem (rebooting loop) user of the watch may have accidentally made contact with water or sweat that goes into the tiny little hole below the power button, hence corrosion occur inside the watch. It happen to my S3 frontier too, and brought it to Samsung Care Services and apparently they are not nice enough to fix my watch or replace the watch with new ones, if I insist to proceed with the repair services it will cost me close enough to buying a new S3 frontier. on that note. very dissapointing.

My god, I'm facing same problem after swimming. When connected to charger It shows rebooting but not, stuck in loop, sadly my warranty is over any solution for this??

Water may have been contact with the watch. Mine has the same problem. I was unable to hard reset it. It keeps a reboot loop going.

после чистки продуть феном тоже не лишне, у меня после чистки часы продержались полдня, ночью снова залипли в ребуте ... видимо опять "набрались" влажности под одеялом. разобрал второй раз и продул феном ... полет нормальный уже пару месяцев. надеюсь комуто тоже поможет.

Same thing happened on my watch after swimming. I returned it to samsung last week and I got back my watch today. AndI was shocked coz they replaced it with New unit. 😊

I returned to one of the agents in the samsung store. I told them that my watch kept on rebooting. But I didn't mention them about the swimming. 😉 Then they told me that they will check the watch and they will contact me about the problem etc. And when I saw the report, the warranty covers all the repair cost. But upon checking the watch. It was a new unit. No scratches on the case and it was wrapped like a new device.

Same here after swimming early in the day went to charge it late at night woke up to a unresponsive watch and then i let it sit in rice for 3 days and tried charging again then its saying reboot stuff i plan to take it back to the store just as soon as i locate my receipt

Happened to my watch 2 days back. Started rebooting by itself. It seemed that while performinh ablution (wuzuu), water went into the tiny hole beside the home button. The home button stopped working and the watch would only start when i pressed and held the back button. I put my watch in a bag of rice and after 14 hours the moisture from the watch was absorbed by rice and now everything is back to normal. I didnt know about the watch being non water proof before getting it malfunctioned. Came to this video and knew about it from comments. Do try what i said. It might work for you too. Its just cuz of the water going into that tiny hole.

@@superb4715 either way. Whether its rebooting or turned off. While rebooting you can also keep tapping the back key go into the boot mode and select turn off from there if you wish to turn it off. Keep it in rice for a day or two and all the moisture would be gone and the watch would work back normally as it did before.
