@blaze hi, i recently purchased this from reliance after watching your video and the clarifications you gave me. The Sound is just awsome. More than what ive expected. Can you please help me with 2 more questions pls. 1. how can we connect echo dot to this?? I have 2nd gen echo dot. 2. Ive played couple of dolby test videos (youtube) and played couple of movies from amazon prime, wholely i did NOT get any sound in the surround speaker. When i played the test from its settings i hear thd buss sound. Is there a setting to be made? Ive connected the device from HDMI(ARC) port in TV.

1) use 3.5 mm to rca cable, connect 3.5mm jack to echo dot and rca end to bluray rca in. This way you can cast anything to your echo dot and sound will come from home thetre, you need to switch home thetre input to Aux mode 2) youtube supports only stereo, even if you play 4k video on youtube you will only get 2 channel audio 3) amazon prime and netflix supports 5.1 audio, try playing any movie there which has 5.1 audio 3) another important thing: you need to change audio out settings on your tv to Dolby digital in case its set to pcm or stereo. 4)buss sound is just for testing the speakers 5) i prefer to use cinema mode while watching 5.1 content and m.stereo for playing stereo.

surround speakers are made for only effects, so most of the hollywood movies will carry only effects for these channels. Voice will come from centre channel. Try playing any horror movies on prime videos. You would feel it

It works fine. you will have to check ur tv manual for supported codecs. If both tv and home theatre support the codec then there won't be any problem playing it over arc

U can check other online stores for availability and offers. I can’t tell you how to buy it at cheap price. Whenever you see it’s available and there is good offer u can purchase. If your tv doesn’t support arc then atleast your tv should have optical out. Otherwise its of no use.

Thanks purniima, yes you will get same output results. You need to connect hdmi cable to hdmi arc input on TV and hdmi arc out on blueray player. Don’t use optical cable because that doesn’t support all audio codecs. i have watched many web series and movies recently on Netflix and prime, i can say this home theatre is amazing in this price range. Bass is superb, video samples which i played didn’t have much of bass so may be its hard to figure out that by watching this video. I would say go for it because there is no other 5.1 home theatre in this price range with this many supported audio formats.but check for offers you will get it for less than 9k. Recently it was on offer at reliance digital online.

Hdmi arc cable will carry audio signal from tv to blueray players and to speakers. It also has hdmi cec so can control volume and on/off with your tv/remote.

Its true that Satellites cables ain't long enough it is just 20-22 feet approx. We can extend it, but you need to choose wires carefully depending on the distance you would be placing your speakers, if total wire lenth for one sat speaker would be less than 50 feet , than you can use 16 gauge cable. its available on amazon. if you join the wires properly then then there shoudn't be much loss in quality. But be careful about polarity(+ - )

Hello brother, I am using the same system . I used to connect my TCL tv via hdmi arc and 5.1 surround used to work properly. But suddenly it stopped working now only getting 2.1 channel output. Center and rear speakers not working. Tried playing sound with cd , same issue. But the speaker test is fine in all 6 speakers. Any clue ?

Depends on the content which you are playing. Try watching latest movies on Netflix/ Prime / Hotstar. On these platform Most of the content has 5.1 Audio. If u still dont get 5.1 audio then u might have to change TV audio setting to : Dolby digital

1) You will not get surround effect over Bluetooth. What are you buying Bluetooth receiver for ?to play songs from phone over Bluetooth? 2) yes , xstream box will be a good option. You will get 5.1 effect. Make sure your audio settings are proper in xstream box. 3)usb se movie play karoge toh 5.1 effect milega. Make sure you download movies which has 5.1 audio 4) songs 5.1 me nahi chalega , songs sab stereo me hee rahta hai toh , you will have to use M.stereo dsp mode to enable all the speakers

Ok bro got it, 1)you can always use M.stereo mode to enable all 5 speakers no matter what source you are playing from (RCA IN , HDMI ARC or by connecting rca to 3.5 mm jack to you Bluetooth receiver) 2) this bluray player has usb port so you can directly connect pendrive and watch movie, you will get 5.1 effect. Any hdmi cable you can use to connect to tv (it won’t matter because only video signal will be sent over hdmi in this case)

What are the equalizer settings for clear dialogues in 5.1 cinemas? I'm getting very low audio for dialogues and hell lot of sound for background music. How to fix that.?

I use cinema mode, that works best for me. Still if feel dialogues aren’t audible u can go to settings-> sound -> Speaker Settings -> level -> center -> increase it to 5db (try what works best for you by doing speaker test). Also positioning of speaker is important make sure center channel speaker is placed at ear level. And in case you want to reduce background effect u can reduce db level for fl,fr,sl,sr.

Bluetooth module 135 rs mai milta hai with audio out usko kharid lo then put it to usb port of the bluray player. Then connect rca audio cable from bluetooth module to aux in of this home theatre . Change mode to aux on the home theatre. Turn on bluetooth on phone and scan u will see the bluetooth module name like bt 165 then connect and u can play music from phone wirelessly

Hi Mangesh, youtube does not support dolby yet. Anything you play on youtube will be in 2ch (stereo) format. You can try playing movies / series on Netflix or amazon prime

I have not tried but it should be possible if you get 4.2mm female to male connector. Using which you can extend the rear surround without cutting the cable. But it’s difficult to find online. You will have to check local stores in your city.

1) if your chromecast support dolby digital & dts audio and your vu tv also supports these codecs then over optical cable you will get 5.1 effect. 2) for changing inputs on bluray player you don’t need to connect through hdmi, u can switch between inputs using remote. But to see the menu options and other settings you would have to connect it to tv over hdmi.

You can use optical out port of your tv to connect to this home theatre. Not sure if your tv supports hdmi arc. Sony ht Rt3 is a very good home theatre but it lacks support for most of the audio codecs like dolby digital +, dolby true hd , dts & dts hd. So if we look at all these i feel samsung is better option since you are getting it for half the price of sony htrt3.

Hi Bro.. Review is excellent and I am also using same home theater for last 9 months. I still do not feel 5.1 surround sound while playing any movie or song from Netflix or Pendrive. I am using Mi 4A pro which do not support Dolby audio. But atleast it should support while I connect through pendrive or Xbox. I didn't get that feel. Can u pls share ur idea for this ?

Hi karunya, I guess you are using arc supported hdmi cable for connection between home theatre and tv. And your xbox is directly connected to tv hdmi port. So the problem could be that tv might not be sending 5.1 channel audio to home theatre. In this case only front two speaker would be working. If you connect pendrive directly to home theatre and play movies which has 5.1 channel audio, you will get audio from all the channels for sure. Also rear speakers are only meant for surround effects so while watching movies you will only hear background effects/noise.i would say download bluray movie with 5.1 channel audio and play it using usb on home theatre and check if all the speakers are functioning. And Mp3 songs has only 2ch audio, you will have to use m.stereo / game dsp mode to get 5.1 channel converted audio while playing songs over usb/ rca cable.
