I ordered a main board and still have the same problem. I just ordered the T Con board so it has to be that right? Power supply works since I unplugged the main board from the PS and the LEDs came on with no problem.

Mine is doing the same thing, I replaced the main board and it’s still doing it.. My tv doesn’t have a tcon .. just power supply board

I have a Samsung tu8000 55inch and mine has just started doing the same. The Tv is only a year old… is there any way of fixing this without getting boards and stuff?

Can you check the connectors. Easy to open the back panel. Inside is not complex. Only two boards. Remove the multi pin connector cables and put back. It’s the first check. If it works, great. Possibility that connectors are loose, this can get fixed by remove and connect back. If this doesn’t get fixed, possibly that the connectors may be defective. Though Quality Control is well managed at Samsung, you may not rule out. Check if they are punched or defective. If so, check the part number and Oder through Samsung or 3rd party.

I have a similar problem but my LEDs flash faster. I can disconnect everything from the main board and it still blinks, all that is connected is the backlight LEDs from the main power board. I can have everything else connected and the only way to stop the blinking is to disconnect the backlights. When I have it laying flat on a table face down, it will come back on but as soon as i stand it up it starts blinking again. It seems it either has to be the power board or the LED strips.

@@hinds90 try this. Disconnect one of the video ribbons and see if you get 1/2 screen. if you do then one of the pins on your ribbon is bad. Use a piece of tape and cover pin 5 or 6 and try it. Worked for me. The ribbon will disconnect from the connection and then could left to right and tape over pin 5 and 6 for example. Try it. I did get mine to work, but a few of the back lights are still out - - not big deal for me.

I have same issue not sure what board is bad. Tv backlight flashes 3 times pauses then does it again. Power supply board looks fine, all the boards look fine but maybe my main board something is wrong. Mine is UN55KU6290 Just ordered a new main board from eBay, hopefully that will solve my issue too, and it's not something else! Cheers.

Hi there Periya Gopalan, i run in to your video, and i have same problem with my tv..almost two years old. its Samsung 85’ model UN85TU8000 Model code: UN85TU8000FXZA me and my buddy did the same thing you did change the main board.. but nothing happen and still blinking. So we went and order a new power supply board.. and still nothing happen.. so i was wondering what could be the problem on this tv. fairly new tv and it just all of the sudden stop working.. i did everything i knew, we chage main board & power supply board and still doing this blinking on screen…can you help me or anyone know what causing this.. I was given a Samsung UN70NU6900F from someone after a storm. I checked the power supply fuse which is good. When I plug it in the standby light comes on as well as the backlights and then the standby light flashes twice and turns off. The set just keeps cycling doing the same thing. Where do I look next? How did you confirm it was the right board: based on the BN number or the "UN55" number?

BN number is best. they can have different boards in the same model and they might not work together

Yes I did. Power is ok. I can see the LED for power connection and power supply.

I was wondering, though, could the problem also arise from a faulty set of backlight LEDs? The thing is, my TV started having an issue recently where there was a column of darkness in the middle of the screen. Not entirely black, just dark. Based on some quick research I had initially surmised that maybe it was the LEDs faulting out, but today my TV started doing this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHbTf6OGhNiBZq8 Would you posit that my problem is still a faulty set of LEDs? Or could it be more like yours, and rooted in the board itself?

@@kamakrishnan just because led comes on does not mean PS is good. You need to check voltage TO main board. I do not believe main board was the root problem
