Excellent video. Had to use a suction cup as well. Our Flex laptop was on but only the fan was and absolutely nothing else. We decided to pry it open and manually disconnect the laptop, since even the power button didn't work. Nothing did. This did the job. Thank you!

I used a flathead screwdriver to open the back, i put the flathead in the gap between the clips and turned the head until the clip popped up. (May scratch the cover a little if not done properly

@@ItsBinhRepaired Thank you!! I just did this myself and the suction cup was amazing (I had a GoPro suction cup mount). I just put the suction cup on all four corners (one at a time) and peeled it off one corner at a time. Going to upgrade to a 1tb intel 665p

I have this same laptop but im having an issue the screen is black but the keyboard and power indication are turning on however i dont hear the fan i opened it up and cleaning majority of the dust however some of the tape had been ripped around the long connector connected to the fan is this the problem?

The tape was ripped due to a sticky substance getting in through the vent i cleaned it to the best of my ability but still nothing

@@ItsBinhRepaired you sure? I think the ram is mounted behind/under so you need to remove the board to see. Because they have 2 models. One 8gb one 12gb.... 12gb usually means two off brand 6gb chips or the weird combo 8/4.... Might mean the 10210u version has one 8gb or two 4gb

I know this is an old thread but hope someone is still looking at it. I'm looking for the factory image file. I believe the drive has failed and want to try to startup the laptop from usb before purchasing a replacement. I made the changes in BIOS and tried a spare drive via USB with a windows boot file (from other computer) but no go. I don't want to waste my money buying a new drive if its the motherboard. BIOS shows SATA drive not installed.
