Good job on the video, Ryan---thx for posting! One suggestion before replacing the membrane----first disconnect and clean the membrane connection since debris may be causing the short circuit, thereby triggering the SE code. UPDATE: I'm editing my comment to double down on my above connector suggestion. My flashing SE error code was resolved tdy after simply cleaning the membrane module ribbon connection. In addition, the board-mounted female connector has a sliding part that clamps down on the ribbon-cable connection. I don't think it was cinched down during original assembly, which likely caused a failure 5 yrs later. Whatever the case, removing the membrane ribbon connection, cleaning it, re-inserting it & making sure to slide the board-mounted female connector "collar" all the way down to clamp the connection tightly solved my problem. Since an assembly-line worker typically performs the same task on multitudes of units, it is quite possible there are thousands of stoves out there with unclamped collars that will ultimately develop this problem.

Wow, great insight. Anyone looking for repair should try these first.

@@adjc982001 I did, and it worked. I wiped the end of the ribbon cable with an alcohol swab, plugged it back in and everything is back to normal. Thanks for the video!

Thank you so much for sharing this! My oven just gave me this error and I'm glad that it looks like a simple fix instead of having to buy a new oven.

Bigger question is how does Samsung create a display panel that stops working cuz of high heat especially because it goes on top of a range. I honestly hate Samsung kitchen appliances

their ice maker on their fridge stopped making ice and the dishwasher drain clogs up all the time and stops draining even though the dishes are clean before going in. samsung appliances blow loads

Good video and advice. Thanks. What was the cost of the membrane?
@adjc9820012 жыл бұрын
It costs anywhere from $60 to $100 dollars with shipping.

Paid $20 for a new membrane this week. Good luck if the circuit board goes out since it is no longer made. The ones available run between 150-200 dollars.

Did your convection oven come on automatically and beep then you would receive the SE error?

When you had to replace the switch membrane we're non of the "buttons" working on it? The same thing is happening on my Samsung stove where the switch membrane slightly melted. After using the broiler setting on high, and I had a pot wedged up against the control panel is started showing the SE message. 😢

Yes, The SE code was showing. A few of the buttons worked on the right, but 95% did not work.

What happens if it still doesn't work and the buttons don't work?
