Amazing technology packed into the soundbar. 11 channels, 4 atmos channels, 1 8inch sub with 200watts.

Retail list price $1699 us, frequently on sale for $1100-1399us. Samsung runs promos alot for up to 50% off if you are a first responder, student discount or a AAA member. Newer model rumored coming out this spring, preliminary CES show the newer model has hdmi 2.1 and a few new trick software features. In short,nothing revolutionary. New model will be at full price while the outgoing model will be put on clearance. Keep an eye out as the current model is great as is and all 99% of consumers need.

When I watch Disney+ or some KZbin videos from the tv app I get bad sound but when I fire up the apps on the ps4 everything works very well. Which makes no sense to me as the ps4 is connected to the tv and only from the tv goes the cable to the soundbar

Check the TV settings to see if the digital audio out is set up correct. Uncheck DD+ if your tv does not support as this may distort audio. Remove and reinstall TV apps. Possible the ps4 has or is in a better location for wifi. I take it sound is ok when using the tv audio. Also, check the menu on the soundbar to see what signal you are getting when using the tv app--click the info button on the remote.

@@rossishima Thanks, i check aps and i also will reset tv to factory setting. Funny because tv is conectet by Ethernet and ps4 wi fi. Thank you.

@@rossishima I you hadn't mentioned Wi Fi I wouldn't have thought it was the internet cable that might be the problem. I changed to high speed and everything works. Tkank you for help.

@@foofighter7933 Agree, it does not make sense. If you were to unplug the ps4 does that change anything. If so, you mayhave to plug the ps4 into the soundbar direct. I have bluray player apps, streaming sticks all plugged into my TV and all of the apps work fine.

Nicely done. I have the complete Bose 900 setup which I am totally content with, but I still like watching reviews of other soundbars. If I was in the market for a soundbar this one would be my definite choice. Samsung's soundbar issues are well known and I hope it works flawlessly for you. Be advised though, Samsung is shady so if you have to return it be prepared. They earn billions every year yet still have to be crooked. Best of luck to you.

I really like the unboxing and showing of detailed measurements. Every other video ive seen doesnt bother. They are like kids on Christmas morning. Just plug in and go!!! I want one of these but a little pricey for me being on disability right now. But good video. Look forward to follow up placement of system (maybe throw in some measurements of room?) an sound.

In process, part 2 on set up almost ready to upload, part 3 will be my impressions. Video production takes weeks to produce. Hang in there as with the new model being revealed, pricing for this model should drop. Initial reveals shows very little upgrade so those purchasing this model would be just fine.

I purchased the Q990c when Samsung was running a promotion with AAA. Samsung frequently runs promotions with AAA, First Responders, and Education. The promotions are often 50% off so it pays to become a AAA member, receive the benefits, and wait for the Samsung promotion. I purchased from Samsung direct using the promotion link and chosed Best Buy to pick up the bar. They also run 100 day, 60 day risk free trial promos. Through the AAA link I got the discount and the 100 day promo.

Thanks for showing the packaging. I’ve got a little coupe, so definitely will need to have it delivered instead of picking it up from the store.

If your back seats fold down you should be ok. The box barely fit in the back seats; otherwise I would have to fold down the rear seats. I chosed to pick up since the box is awkward for one person and delivery damage is a great possibility....also those porch pirates....

@rossishima Yeah, definitely understand the third-party handling risks, but honestly, if I transported it myself, I think it would suffer some wrestling nicks and shoves, as well. The trunk opening aperture and the pass-through aperture are problems for my car. I think I could have managed if it were an L-shaped package (with some narrow portion) as I've sometimes seen for other soundbar systems, but this is a full-girth box. Looks like it also could be a problem even trying to squeeze it in diagonally into my interior passenger area. I watched your whole series for this set, and I greatly appreciate your thoroughness of actually showing unboxing, assembly, and operation on-camera. Much thanks!
