Had it now for almost a week for uni and i must say, im glad i didn go for the ipad 10th gen. It has everything i need for uni for lower price than the ipad and reasonably fast enough for genshin as well. Buold quality is amazing and the s pen is amazing as well. Considering that this is my first ever tablet for productivity and minimal gaming, it's so good.

A thing to note for those who don't know. The SPen Does Not Need to be Charged to Used. The SPens for the regular Tab S9 series have added Bluetooth features that turns your SPen into a magic wand remote control which does need a battery charge to use But, those Bluetooth features are not available on the FE devices, hence the lack of a battery in the pen and the lack of a need to charge said pen either.

Actually, the FE plus is compatible with the Bluetooth features, but in order to use them you would need to buy the S pen pro, or to have another Bluetooth enabled S pen.

Samsung has always been pretty tasteful with what they choose to downgrade to make their A/FE series models considerably cheaper. No wireless charging? that's ok! their FE line supports 45w super fast charging. No bluetooth features available with the stock pen? that's ok! you can upgrade to the s pen pro or keep the stock FE spen and you don't have to charge it.

Samsung tablets still have a huge advantage with the ecosystem of OneUi. The Samsung phones and tablets are super-connected so transfering takes place instantly which is great. For a teacher like me, this tablet and S23 serve me perfectly.

@@elfindahouse I personally think the S9 FE will do the job. As a student, these tasks aren't too demanding so the S9 FE will handle them well. You would only want the S9 FE+ if you are looking for a bigger display, an extra rear camera (which for me isn't something I will look out for since I don't take pictures using my tablet), and better battery life. If not, I will stick with the S9 FE.

Samsung has 4 OS updates and 5 years of security updates. Lenovo and Xiaomi updates are at their discretion... Having used xiaomi for a decade, I've switched to samsung without regrets. My lenovo y700 is stuck at android 12. See what you need and choose accordingly.

To be fair, Motorola flagships are 'officially' 3 OS upgrades, 4 years of security, no guarantees though, they have a rough history. Also working my way towards Samsung devices, coming from Motorola/Lenovo ones as their security updates have been terrible, like 3 for my Edge 40 pro in a year (despite monthly updates being promised initially) and their customer service is terrible (just look on their support forums). Have ordered the y700 2023, but that is only because there are no other powerful android tablets at that size and the price was quite sharp. Wanted something small, yet powerful, for use in bed. Also a nice size to double as an e-reader.

I think it really depends on how much you use the pen and what sorta screen protector you've got. The paperlike or matte style protectors provide maybe a better drawing experience, at the cost of nibs and the screen protectors getting worn out faster and also the viewing experience.

The only thing I don't understand about Samsung tablets,you can only get sim card enabled tab with a cell phone company,they only have it sim enabled tabs with the smaller memory. Not sure about the ones they sell overseas but in The USA, that's what they do. While Apple you can buy unlocked Ipads right from Apple alway up to 2 t memory.

See this is an real review. In this day and age where your naked eye can barely keep up without side by side comparisons why would we need pay a premium when most of us dont game on tablets and most of us only use tablets for watching media such as netflix. If you not working on the tablet then dont waste the money on the s9 or ultra. Fe is fine for most.

I am looking for a tablet and am not sure which one would be better. A huge factor for me is the speakers because I like really good audio. Samsung tablets are known for their good speakers so I would say you would miss out so much if you were to choose OnePlus. I might have hesitated if OnePlus were to have more experience in tablets but theirs one is the first gen so I don't expect much. I think Samsung offers a good deal with the S pen included the S pen is a great deal to me even if I don't use much.

Truth be told, while Snapdragon is consistently better at the high end at this level just going with a middling Snapdragon might be just a reputation thing. In my view they are similar overall. Considering the savings by using their own chip Samsung should use the Exynos.

@@Sabrintwitt3r No argument here. I would suggest that the high end gamer enthusiast type that cares about top graphic performance is not the target market of this device. Per my first comment, they have flagships to sell. I would suggest that outside of that niche it would be difficult to differentiate as indicated in the Geek Bench score. Web, documents, business apps, video content, social… makes no difference. If you are gonna do high end gaming, or render video, don’t get a middling Snapdragon, get a premium tablet. Samsung has to give people a sizable gap or why buy the flagship? Display technology alone does not justify a 400 dollar difference in price. I would suggest that the fact that 90 percent of people could not differentiate this tablet from the flagship s9 in the way they use it without having them side by side, to see darker blacks on the s9 says they made the right compromises. Clearly enthusiasts like us would LUV to not have to pay for the better option. But that is bad for business. Talk all you want about obscure Chinese brands. But outside of China who cares? Frank truth? The market for the FE series has never heard of Xiaomi or Oppo. They will see a half price s9 series and be told about “refresh rate” and display tech, and snapdragon versus Exynos, and literally not be able to tell in any practical way how any of that matters. I could give them a tab s9 for a week and then a s9 se and they would have absolutely no idea why there is ANY price difference. I doubt they even could see a screen difference much less performance. MOST PEOPLE fall into THAT category. Samsung wants “us” enthusiasts to pony up the coin for flagships. I can’t blame them. But I like to save too. That is I just bought a used s7 plus with Samsung keyboard case for 350. I don’t game, don’t swim with my tablets, so outside of update support (which gave me pause) I currently see zero advantage with dropping a grand for a current device. @@MissSmurfey It has been great for me. Again for what I use the device for (MS Office apps, email, content, web surfing) I can honestly say that I charge it every other day. I've gone two days for sure up to about 4 hours each day using it consistently and still had 30% battery life.
