Disagree, super easy interface. Set up just needed one correction in the easy set up. The password for the camera is "smartcam", initially, not to be confused with your wifi pass. I would have bold faced it in the setup instructions. Quality is awesome. No server fees, love that!

This is a get product, no monthly fees, great picture, two way talk, other alerts, SB card, wired (don't need batteries), excellent software (was tricky to install but worth the effort).

I bought this camera last night at Costco for $109, I have used and reviewed the HD and HD Pro. The daytime shot is better on this camera however the night time shot with the IR disabled at maximum brightness is not as good as the previous versions. this model has HDR like the HD Pro, but also has a lens distortion correction mode which actually seems to zoom into the picture slightly to eliminate the curvature from the wide-angle 130-degree lens. The app is still cheesy and hard to navigate. I would stick with the HD Pro at this point because it has 5GHz capability. Your wireless router has to be in the same room for the camera to stay connected. Cloud service officers better reliability but at the monthly expense. Samsung server is always going down. there's still room for improvement.

I bought this from Costco, works like a beast! Does everything need it to do. Only thing I wish it had was a case so I could mount it outside. Reviewer must get paid by Nest because it Smart Cam feels pretty sturdy to me.

I just wish their app was better. Yi cameras allow a live view of ALL your cameras on the home screen; you don't have to click on each individual camera to see the live view. Really, that's my only issue, that and no way to turn it off from the app.

I got 3 of them refurbished for $195. great buy and superior video quality. The bad: two way speaker is not loud enough. You can't schedule recordings example: 9-5 mon thru fri

This review is probably paid by nestcam. I have this model more than two years now and its excellent. Motion sensor is great and it records will show you on recording 2 sec before the motion is triggered. They updated the software and has a nice clean feel to it. Integration with smartthings is great.

BTW I have Comcast 100Mbps connection, the 2.4Ghz connection doesn't help much, 5Ghz not an option....

P.O.S. if you know what I mean....totally unreliable, lots of connectivity issues, slow and REALLY bad tech support. I think the compression they use is the problem

Steve Nguyen connect well with the orange app on iPhone. But not on android. How did you connect with android? Trying to set it for android with no success.

so you get a camera with local storage on a SD with no off site storage or hidden storage in the house and you think the criminal isn't going to take it? LMFAO take the camera and the video is gone you have no proof of anything unless you are lucky enough to be viewing it while it happens. As usual once people who invest in these gimmick yuppy cameras get robbed and it doesnt catch anything they end up paying more to have a real system put in....... Pay once cry once
