I think that you must tell that it needs the exactly same motherboard with the reference ! For example : G988U it’s not G988N… isn’t it ? Thank you.

Can anyone explain, why its important to also transfer the CPU. For Microcontrollers as far i know, a CPU is just processing data coming from memory but doesnt have any internal permanent memory. Am I mistaken ?

well it's because in newer phones the nand is encrypted and can only be decrypted with the cpu it came with. that's why my OnePlus is dead and I cannot recover the nand
