Huawei phone i believe its losing to samsing s22 in terms of software issues like various calibration and ai assisting issue as mentioned in the macro section. However tho p50 is also slightly older model when compare to the new samsung s22 which could which is giving some advantage to s22. I still think huawei can do a better job in software that if fixed, it may even tie up with s22

I previously owned a Huawei p50 pro, which has an excellent main camera but a lesser quality front-facing camera, which I also need especially when I'm taking photos alone. I switched to the Samsung s22 ultra, which I also believed to have the best camera because it is a high-end phone, but I was wrong because the main camera is still good but the selfie camera is not. I have not yet tried the Xiaomi 12 pro, but I have used the Xiaomi mi note 10 pro and it has the best front and rear camera that I have tried. Maybe I'll upgrade to the Xiaomi 12 Pro next time.

Is this the global P50 Pro? Wasn't all that impressed with the AI processing compared to the Mate 40 Pro when I tried it out... I mean, it's an improvement in some ways, but not the huge leap I was hoping for. Wondering how it compares to the Chinese ROM version with the Kirin chipset. Also, the S22 Ultra costs a lot more than either of the Chinese phones here... at least in our market. The upcoming Mate 50 Pro and the Mi 12 Ultra will be more direct competitors at that price point.

Great comparison! I'm a really big fan of Huawei phones, but unfortunately they are banned in the US. When I upgraded last year , from a Mate 20 x, I purchased an S21 ultra. I have been enjoying it since November. The very day I had received it and set it up it had updated to Android 12 ! And just this morning, received another software update to one UI 4.1 improving camera function.

I have huawei mate 20 x too and just bought the s22 ultra. I'm so disappointed except for the camera and the pen (which is nice but not specially needed) that I'm about to send it back. The microphone is a nightmare, friends can not listen to me on messenger sometimes the sound stop sometimes very low and the user interface is not very good in my opinion . I would have keep it if it would cost less than 1000€ but on the price tag they are sold it's not worth it at all. The mate 20 x has a bigger screen, almost the same battery (which seems to last longer) and fast charging even if it's a 3 years old phone...

That's a respectable opinion. Let's also not forget that Huawei was going to be a flagship of 2021 but the launch had to be delayed. We were supposed to watch mate 50 pro competing against these other phones.

It's important to say Mi12 is the cheapest of the bunch. That would be more fair to include Mi11 Ultra or wait until the Mi12 Ultra is available. For this comparison, S22 is superior on video, but P50 takes the overall picture crowd IMO, although both have terrible image processing compared to a DSLR. Xiaomi high tier cameras are known for a more natural looking, skin tones and better foliage. Fact is that majority of users do like more ultra processed and saturated images whose look amazing in a smartphone screen.

I have to say. In Slow Motion you clearly see that Samsung does not put a filter on the footage. The other two have a complete washed out, unsharp picture. The Samsung actually saves the details, which you want in slow mo. While the other too compute everything to a blurry mess. But when i do slow mo, i wanna observe things. A Blurry mess is the last thing i want. So technically, Samsung also won the slow mo test.

about the audio test, i think u re a Samsung fan. U give the 23 points to Samsung, 17 points to Huawei and 15 points to Xiaomi. Samsug and Huawei are realy close each other on the sound test but there is between 6 points. On the other hand between Huawei and Xiaomi there is a huge difference about sound test, but there is just 2 points between them. This is really unfair. In my opinion, it should be the ranking; Samsung 23, Huawei 22 or 23 and Xiaomi 15.

Realy bad job xiaomi :) For me the best phone for photography is samsung, photos looks amazing, much better than xiaomi or huawei. Zoom quality is great on samsung too, but huawei is making great job too.
