I have the s20+ with the 865. I was seriously considering upgrading. I can see where it matters performance is very similar. Seems like the only thing I will be upgrading for is a better camera. The camera on the s20 is still decent so I'm going to hold for a while, or at least until the s22 Ultra price drops significantly.

@mama kaze da sam lep I agree, the difference is only visble in benchmark. I now have the tab s8 with the SD 8 gen 1 along with my s20+ with the SD 865. Games feel the same. And even the same as it did on my Tab s6 with the SD 855. Only thing I'm happen about, my Tab s8 doesn't overheat at all, even after playing games for long.

The s20 ultra is excellent. I just bought it. It's fast and has a beautiful screen and the sound quality is epic. I have it as my daily driver and the s20 plus as a backup. I'm pretty satisfied with the two.

What's amazing 2 years later and the specs be are better on the s20 21gb ram for some mysterious reason the did 8gb ram on 22 took out SD card so now paying more for less.

S20 ultra = S23 ultra 😂 SD card + headphones + charger + display res + more ppi + 12/16GB RAM + half the price here in EU 650€ vs 1400€ and yes bigger battery (S22 achieved more battery life by downgrading the product with display resoultion/ppi). SD is big feature thats why they took it away. Because of SD im still on 6 year old S7 edge on high performance with 232 GB (32 + 200 GB) and second battery. Everything working great and fast.

So I just bought an S20 Ultra ($360 in excellent condition ) for weekend fun. I have a Company iPhone 13 Pro Max. Everything is Apple so I’m way deep into the ecosystem for both work and home. This phone puts a monkey wrench in the chain but since I use it on weekends I don’t need the Apple stuff. This phone is solid, no notch, 2K 1440p which is beautiful for watching videos, I edit videos on this phone for social media, I also have a 256G memory card in the slot. Overall this phone is extremely good for what I paid for it. Originally wanted the Note 20 Ultra but I had a Note 10+ for a year and wanted to try the Ultra series.

Well, S20 ultra was faster at the end because it didnt need to reload assets required for applications like asphalt or freefire due to having more ram. Due to this, it can hold more information about games and such, simultaneously, so it can directly launch such applications without reload ing unlike S22 ultra which has to reload its assets. Such a situation is unlikely to encounter if you know at least the basics of how to use a Phone but, not impossible as demonstrated. Also, optimizing might play a big role Since S22 ultras effective RAM usage might not be optimal Since it was recently released. Any tests made couple months later should result in more accurate data.

Why would I pay 1400€ instead of 650€ so I must buy a charger, a headphone set (total 1500-1600€) and be limited with 128 GB of storage without the chance of expanding it with an SD card, 8GB of RAM instead of 12GB/16GB, lower res... etc.

​@@ulysses4989 I'm always doing that. But now no charger, no headphones, no SD slot, bigger storage lot of extra $. I have S20 (not ultra) + 1TB SD card with 12 GB RAM (rare model). No need to wait. It can hold 5-7 years easily, even more. Maybe 1 battery change.

I have a s22 Ultra and I used to have a 20 Ultra and to me they are pretty close to the exact same phone. The only difference is that in all likelihood the s22 will end on one ui 5, the cameras , s pen support and the build quality is different. I collect phones as a hobby and I just purchased a s20 ultra for 240 us dollars. If you can find one for that price you definitely should buy
