It will be harder, the sensor is different but with the software updates you can do 30secs now and still get a RAW file, worth trying, don't wait for great conditions just try a dark sky and see how you go first.

Low light polution and the right time of year, i'm playing with google earth which is free and at night you can see the position of the milky way, perhaps try that! be sure to set the right date.

Hi Rob, good work! I've tried out a few times with milky way time lapses with the s20+ and moment lens wide v2 as well. Do you have any app recommendations for stacking photos for time lapses? Also any tips with reducing noise without taking away too much detail? Thanks in advance :)

@@joelchia123 I think you can afford to lose stars as there are so many! Long as you keep that iso down and brightness and contrast balanced should be ok. I stacked these using after effects but most movie makers can animate a group of photos. matjoez has some. Great videos on step by step on how to do this.

I have the A52s too. 10 seconds of exposure instead of 30 means less time for the sensor to catch light. This means you will see less stars and light in your images.

@@davechristmas1183 Do this: - Exposure time 10s - Focus infinity - ISO 400 (try higher if you don' see anything, try lower if you see too much grain) - Go outside - Set timer to 5 seconds, capture and lay down your phone (screen down) - Wait 15 seconds I hope that will work:)

The Samsung has a Pro mode for photography with manual controls and the huge sensor its why I tried it with the S20 Ultra

You could probably get the same results with your DSLR but it would require some editing because now days cameras rely heavily on software rather than hardware.
