This is review was decent but so far the reviews I've watched on this fridge have focused more on the tablet. I would like to know more about the refrigerator itself. I wanted to know about the ice maker, how much ice does it produce and how fast does it replenish. Does it seem to keep its temperature? How many large gallons do you think it holds? etc. Not trying to be a troll just pointing thigs out that I would have like to know TY for review

mike byrd i bought this refrigerator last year. My issue lies with the dispenser. When I try to dispense ice a gush of water rushes out. This wouldn’t be a huge problem if they put a reservoir to hold water spilled . Unfortunately there’s non so water flows all down the fridge and I’m left having to mop my floor every single time. So that’s the one major con with this fridge. If anyone has a solution I’ll be forever grateful

Mine is running Tizen 4.0 and still receiving updates. Last one was about 2 months ago. Ice maker and everything are still working fine.

You can access all the apps by swiping up from the bottom of the screen.

Correct but only after a recent update. For over a year that wasn't possible.

I thought we were getting this model with the adjustable shelving in the main fridge area, but our top shelf is a single glass unit that cannot be adjusted at all and there is no adjustable sliding tray shelf either. If those are features you want, make sure you see them as features when you order.

Interesting, our drawers do not have the adjustable temp controls either. This is a higher end model.

How long does Samsung going to provide updates to this this device? A Fridge can last for decades. I not sure I would want a smart device on my net that updated for 10 years or so.

That's weird, my model has a light. I just need to press and hold the crushed ice button for 3 seconds to activate it or turn it off.

Mine works fine, try adjusting the freezer temperature settings. If that doesn't work then call Samsung support to look into it.

Why do fridges usually have the freezer box at the top?? Doesn't make sense at all..back in the day the freezer box was always at the bottom...hope the freezer boxes will start being more and more at the bottom

Don’t do it! The fridge will only mirror with your Samsung TV if it’s within 10metres, and only without much in the way. So to mirror your fridge with the TV it pretty much needs to be in the kitchen! The pairing with your Samsung account is unpredictable. The Apps (Pinterest for example) have limited functionality. The Samsung support is appalling, I’ve invested £3,500 in Samsung kit that doesn’t do what it says, and they still fob me off and have no clue what WiFiDirect is (fundamentally important to mirroring things on this stuff) let alone how it works. It really doesn’t come close to what’s advertised, unless I suppose you test it in artificial environment where everything’s in one room. Much better to buy a normal fridge and an iPad and glue the iPad to your fridge door.

The Flex is riddled with problems. The Ice Maker has a huge recall. The first one lasted 9 moths replaced ad the second lasted 13 moths. Took samsung 8 weeks total to refund the purchase price for this disaster. they did ot refund the food value. Also just before the fridge failed it began placing ads on the screen, not commercials but telling me it didn't see ketchup or jam or what ever but my fridge will ever contain these since I do't eat them. This video asks some questions about pics and answer is hundreds of pics and there is a place for a flashdrive in the top of the screen door. I would not recommend this fridge at all. not even a little love for this. Samsung knows this model is horrible and they try to not provide any services until you complain daily by twitter and facebook about their services. After 6 weeks they finally offered a refund (versus another replacement) but that took them two more months. So if you want to go two months without a fridge or food...then this is the fridge for you. Be warned.

Icemaker is a fail...I’ve had over 12 service calls on my family hub for icemaker issues...Samsung is ignoring my issues. I don’t recommend this refrigerator
