Thank you so much for this. So difficult to find a review of Galaxy Tabs where they show real time editing of photos in Lightroom. I have an iPad and wants to know if Glalxy tabs are an option, and they seem to be.

How fast is the Micro Sd in the Tab S8 when used for photo storage? Is the gallery fluid as an Ipad Pro? Thinking of getting the S8 Ultra with 1Tb Micro Sd card and dumping my photo collection on the card. Problem is that I have around 750gb of photos and if they're a laggy mess when you scroll the gallery I won't bother with it and get an Ipad instead. Could you please let me know your thoughts about this?

I am not familiar with the IPad Pro. So I cannot be certain with that. But I know I did not notice a difference with the storage upload.

Hello, I am,looking at the s8 ultra and specifically want to use it for photo editing via lightroom. I see that 512 and 256gb has been working well for you. Even though there is an s9 ultra out, is it necessary to get the latest version? From what I saw, it would be extremely useful for my needs. It was very cool to see lightroom being used as well!

I would definitely recommend the 12GB RAM in either model. Also the expandable microSD card is really nice on the S9 Ultra. The CPU with the 2 Gen on the S9 Ultra will handle the performance of Lightroom but so does my S8 Ultra. If you are buying for the first time, then I would get the S9 Ultra. But I am not willing to upgrade just yet since the S8 for me is working excellent. Plus I have all the accessories for the 8 and it is not compatible with the 9. Hope this info helps. I would love to hear with what you went with.

@@evandtechlife funny you replied currently because I wound up getting the 128gb s8 ultra and expanded the memory to 1tb! Very happy with the performance and I use it for lightroom and just for streaming on occasion. Had it for over a month. Nowadays , I would rather get something that is a year old because all of the bugs are out and no one will know whether or not it is a s8 or s9 ultra 😅. The s8 ultra has served me very well. The editing process is so crisp and the s-pen is fantastic. It is going to last me for some time now 🙂!

@ojthebruceman I love the S Pen and use it quite a bit and find it easy to use while editing as well. Especially when it comes to shading areas I want to work on. But now AI has done some amazing things that make it alot easier to do with a click of a button. I'm very happy with my purchase and I'm glad to hear that you like your S8. Best wishes!!

I have the 256 and I am good with this one. I just make sure I use my memory card for storage of the photos.

Does the tablet size make it hard to work with it just holding it like a tablet while editing with the S Pen?

A little bit. It's a light tablet though for its size. I usually have it on the table if I am doing alot of pen time with it.

@Manuel F. Aguinaga I love my screen size on this tablet. How big the screen is makes it very easy to multi-task. It was very comfortable to use in the video. Good luck with whatever decision you go with.

Hello Brent. I am a photographer photographer that edits very large raw photo files from my sony a7rv. I have been editing my photos on an M1 Ipad pro with 1tb that has 16gb of ram. I am looking at the new Samsung S9 ultra with one terabyte that comes with 16 gigs of ram. I know you’re using the S8 ultra which has 12 gigs of ram. My question is how does Lightroom handle the raw images? Does it lag or perform slowly? I saw in your one reply in the comments you’re not familiar with the Apple iPad Pro. It just seems like my two year-old iPad is starting to go slow even though no other applications are opened and I am a big fan of Samsung with their cell phones but I only use Apple iPad Pro to get 99% of my editing done and then I put them on my PC and make sure everything color grading correctly which normally they don’t need any more adjusting. But I was just trying to find some videos on the new S9 ultra editing photos and I came across yours even though you’re using an S8 ultra. But I think I am going to purchase the S9 ultra and give it a try. Do you have any issues exporting a lot of photos at a time? Sometimes I will export play 500 photos that I edited and convert them to JPEG. All right thank you for your time and this video.

That is alot of photos to export at one time. I did quite a few of them and edited them and exported them and I did not have any issues with them. I saw the videos on the S9 which looks very good. I did not upgrade due to all the perks I received with the S22 upgrade. Best of luck with your decision and let me know what you decided to do.

@brentsreveiws well I picked up the S9 ultra And all I got to say is wow. The screen is truly beautiful compared to my iPad pro. and what I have learned the Lightroom. Does export the photos a little slower than my iPad, but. I can live with that.. my the impressions of the S9 ultra is that I wish I would have bought it as soon as it came out. Just by how most of the apps utilize the whole screen and don't have a black bar on each side of the screen or above and below your content. I am truly impressed with the S9. And I am glad that I bought the 1 TB version that came with the 16 gigs of Ram. Because twice already I have noticed. I was using 14 and a 1/2 gigs of Ram while Using the tablet. I didn't realize I had a whole bunch of apps running in the background but if I was doing that with my iPad pro. My screen autogod and it's so hot. It would have automatically dimmed down in the screen brightness. The S9 runs really cool to the touch. I am very happy. plus I threw bro 1 TB microSD card in the slot and now I have a 2 TB of storage Tablet. I would have had to pay a couple extra hundred dollars just to do that for the ipad. I am so glad to hear that this worked out for you. I still do alot of my work on the S8 Ultra. If my channel starts to take off, I would be doing more comparisons of the different tablets on the market. But for right now, I'll just be doing videos with what I can get my hands on.

If you're talking about lightroom, the phone itself has nothing to do with Lightroom's features. My S21 Ultra with Lightroom has the latest updates with selection of body features (lips, eyes, etc), so your S22 Ultra should as well.
