I tried everything and realized it was a faulty led backlight at the top of the TV. So I banged the back of the TV - top left and right and it's FIXED! Like the Fonz hitting the jukebox

T'shooting a qn65q60rafxza that is "half dark on one side". I am unclear how to determine if the problem is (generally) T-con or backlight. I presume the latter because the transition to dark is gradual. I presume if the T-con was at fault there would be a distinct cut-off to dark. If only there was a site that illustrated the appearance of different display issues...

I waited 40 minutes and plugged it back in. Voila! Gone. Id been living with that black corner for weeks. I rebooted it previously, but did not wait long enough before I plugged it back in. I dont need a new TV.UPDATE, next day it is back...Probably need a new TV

This seems just like the video I needed to fix my Samsung tv. My tv has both the bright spots AND the periodically backlight issue, where the upper horisontally third goes dark at random times. The bright spots must be the lenses has come loose as I understand is a common issue. Sometimes tue backlight turns on or off in the middle of watching stuff, sometimes it's dark or lit for weeks or even months at a time. I hear a humming sound from the tv which change in pitch depending on the image shown, dark or bright images, and I'm wondering if that points towards a failing powersupply for the backlight, or could it still be 'just' the LED strips or the different common points of failure I read about in the article linked in the description? I already opened the tv before to check for popped/burned capacitors, but didn't find any, and I want to try again if I have enough intel on what to look for/measure with multimeter. I already tried with/without HDMI inputs, factory reset, leaving the tv without power for a few days(though I didn't try holding the powerbutton like described), knocked lightly around the connectors inside to check for loose connections and cold solderjoints. I dont think I've updated the firmware yet, as I kinda fear that Samsung will inject some planned obsolescense failure, but maybe that's a conspiracy, idk. Hope to hear from you. - cheers

I have half dark screen. It likes to switch sides. Last week it was the left side, now the right side has it. The leds work otherwise it would stay on one side….right?

Half of my screen (right hand side) is darker but not totally black. This is a samsung curved screen. Any suggestions on what it could be? I have reset the whole TV already so i suspect that it might be a hardware issue. And what would be the estimated cost of parts and repairs in the UK?

Just bought the Sony Inzone m9 4K Monitor for the ps5 . The right half screen turns black when I start a game. When I switch to HDMI 2 and go back HDMI 1 the screen looks normal again. Another issue that the screen goes black for 10sec and comes back and all colours look grey. When I switch to HDMI 2 and go back to HDMI 1 the problem is solved
@techtests Жыл бұрын
Sounds like an HDMI issue, either with the cable or the cable not quite connected.
@miajarunai1792 Жыл бұрын
@@techtests It’s not the cable I changed them. I also can not use the firmware software to update my monitor because as soon as I want to change something in the hub app it tells me settings haven’t been applied . It doesn’t matter what I’m doing in the , changing language or the screen mode .
