I'm a newbie when it comes to cameras, so wanted a simple camera when I bought this exact model Samsung camera in 2016 new for $400; however, almost four years ago, Samsung discontinued the parts. I was able to find a replacement battery online, but not the charger that also uploaded the photos to my desktop computer. I was generally satisfied with the photos that it took. Your review clearly explained its features.

Thanks, I'm pleased you liked the video. If you look in the 2nd hand market you should be able to pick up one of these very cheap now and with that a charger and spare battery. You can use a memory card reader to upload your photos to your computer, will be faster than with a cable plugged into your camera. Cheers.

You're very welcome. It seems like a lot of people new to cameras aren't always told this, I just recently purchased a 2nd hand camera and the seller gave me this "thing" he didn't know what it was used for, it was a memory card reader which he didn't use, either he forgot what it was or wasn't told what it was used for when he purchased it, either way bonus for me. Cheers. @@TheDarkDresser

@@pictureworldphotography I saw just the camera being sold on ebay without the charging cable. I asked two sellers if the camera came with a charger, and one politely said "no," and the other didn't respond. A couple years ago, I ordered what was described as a charger for that make and model from a seller on Walmart, but when I received it, it didn't show that it was charging as it always did with the original cable, before it got frayed and no longer worked; the screen instead showed a steady message (forgot what message said). I'll try other online sites. I'm so, so glad to know that there's an alternative way to get the photos onto my desktop. .Glad I found your channel.

I picked up one of these from Cash Converters for $20 (cracked plastic case) 4yrs ago, It's very basic & automatic but the quality is great for the price 👍 I've used it for video a lot and bought a cheap plastic $20 handle frame to make that smoother and easier.

Great, some of these older cameras are going up in value, sometimes you can get them for really cheap prices, I keep a look out on the 2nd hand market all the time. Cheers.

Yeah they are very handy with better optics than smartphones even if the sensor size is the same. Thanks for watching and commenting, it all helps the channel grow. Cheers.
@rzajc Жыл бұрын
images from this camera look great. yes the sensor is small but it's good enough, i am watching this on a 40 inch monitor and the pictures are nice and sharp. and you have the zoom ability that smartphones don't have and the tactile nature of the camera buttons. I think it is nicer than tapping a smartphone screen to take a photo. also think the colors are nice

There's a BIG difference in zoom. The 350 is great for outdoors & tourist work, the 101 is designed for social media, parties & handbag carry. If you want to do video get the 350 as it's 1080p. I've got a 250 and it's been great for video 👍
@jusbubz7 ай бұрын
@edwardfletcher7790 thanks! im actually leaning to the 350 now despite having a camcorder already just because I want it to be higher quality and I think the 101s appeal lies in the screen which i could live without. i do hope to get them both though since my birthday is coming up so i think ill ask for one of them and then buy myself the other one since they're both less than 100usd and pretty affordable in my own currency :)
@edwardfletcher77907 ай бұрын
@@jusbubz Just so you know what they're worth : I paid US$13 for my 250 in 2019 because it had a crack in the lower case and no SD Card. There was also a perfect condition 250 in the shop for US$60 with a 32Gb SD card. I don't know what they're worth now because there's currently not a single 250 or 350 for sale in my country on eBay. I'd suggest you buy the 250 first as it has by far the best video and photo quality. Personally I wouldn't pay more than US$40 for my 250 or US$50 for the 350 with a large SD Card. If you're going to do video, you'll need to buy a monopod, tripod, handle or cage frame to stabilize the camera as it's small and difficult to hold while moving. Try large Charity shops for tripods. I got a US$150 model for US$10 👍 The Samsung Android phone camera link app is no longer on the play store, but is on Aptoide or AppBrain DOT com. It's called Samsung Smart Camera. It works very well with older Android phones as a remote viewfinder and Tx of files. If you have an iPhone apparently all the newer versions of Apple iOS made changes that caused the app lots of problems. The user manual is on the Samsung webpage. Just Google "samsung wb350f user manual" If you need to record audio, I use US$10 Boya lapel mics with 8 to 12 yr old Android phones (headphone jacks are awesome). As in camera microphones all suck and only Canon, Fuji, Pentax & Sony cameras have microphone jacks. I hope you enjoy your camera 👍
