This is my Bulldogs favorite toy. He figured out how it works right away and now he plays until he collapses. Rests a while and starts in again. Your dogs little dance waiting on the launch is adorable.

better design would be feed into the side and ejects from the top. the ejection outlet should be guarded with a ' chimney ' like large and tall tube.

I just purchased the same model. It's my third machine of this type. The first two (different brand/models) wore out and gave up the ghost pretty quick. The longest lived one was 11 days, so I'm hopeful this one lasts longer. My GSD loves it so far, except he just won't drop the ball in the hopper. (Edit: Moose also stands with his face directly in front of the launcher and occasionally takes a tennis ball to the snout at point blank range.)

Quick reminder: Don't use normal tennis balls for playing with dogs. They have a metal mesh inside them and those have an abrasive effect on the teeth. There are sometimes special tennis balls on sale which don't have that mesh.

A lot of tennis balls are toxic too. And dogs can choke on them too. They make special dog balls that are better for dogs.

This is just entirely false. There is no metal mesh and the materials and even the permanent dyes in the felt are all non-toxic. My dogs destroy balls and once they manage to get them apart to bits, I replace them just so they aren't swallowing latex (even though it's natural plant derived latex). The green bucket is not where she's supposed to put it. That's for you to dump all the balls into for multiple dogs (or for batting practice). She was putting it exactly where she was supposed to be putting it.

The best about this video is the dogs reaction to the thrower. Although it would be very useful to someone who can't physically throw the ball for their dog, I personally wouldn't buy this as I really enjoy the personal interaction between me and my dog as I throw the ball. I know this is clearly something just to use on an owners property but for me having a dog gets me out having a walk that I otherwise wouldn't have as our back garden (yard?) isn't big enough to really give my dog the exercise he needs.

I live on my sailboat so I cannot have a dog, I do have a Siamese cat though and if they could come up with a laser that could be programed would be wonderful. Java has nearly cured my PTSD and loves living aboard. On my last boat I would take my last Siamese and my Norwegian Forest Cat over to a park on an island just a short way from me to get off the boat and hunt and play, they are both buried there now. My last ex quit her psych meds and then left me, but before she did she cut the propane hose to my heater, it exploded in my face, absolutely destroyed the boat and my last Siamese died in my arms. The Coast Guard still cannot figure out how I survived. When they got the boat to the boat yard, all that was left was the bottom and half of a few bulkheads.

I think you should tune the fetch robot (maybe with a ramp of some sort so it throws it higher) so it avoids hitting them once it throws the ball, but great purcharse either way! Any plans to buy a trampoline for the new house? Really hoping for more trampskating!

I always played Fetch with 3 balls with GSP pound puppy. Sadly he passed last year. He would drop one as I was tossing the next. He was crazy fast and super smart.
