I ran out of gas once in S. California, and was filling a gas jug at a nearby station in Bel Air. I'm a huge car guy, and noticed this PERFECT late model Porsche 993 convertible, Triple Black in color. I took a second look like; "Is that Samuel L. behind the wheel?" I look a third time and it WAS Samuel L. and he's wearing his trademark Kangol Hat, and he nods at me like 'Yep, it IS me.' It was a cool moment.

I don’t hate Steve Harvey, just never understood how or why he’s as successful as he’s been. He was lucky that the other Kings of Comedy were carrying him. His later successes seem to come from his screwing over people. Based on the way he’s dealt with past relationships and treatment of children from those relationships, it’s not too hard to imagine.

Bernie Mac came to Sacramento, CA, in the mid-90s to do a show at Crest Theatre. A venue that is not our largest. He was on his game and could have sold out our largest venue. As usual, he was dressed very sharply and was extremely funny. After the show, Bernie stepped off the stage, where he greeted and thanked everyone who walked up to him. I went in for the hug, and he hugged me back like I was a lifelong friend he hadn’t seen in years. That was the Bernie Mac I met. Someone who I felt genuinely loved his fans as much as we loved him. And let me tell you, Bernie was built like a linebacker.
