Samuel Taylor Coleridge, The Imagination

Samuel Taylor Coleridge's definition of the imagination is often seen by the critical tradition as the quintessential definition of Romanticism. Yet he strongly disagrees with William Wordsworth on the definition. So the question is whether Coleridge does define the period or whether he ultimately takes issue with it.
One thing remains clear. He is a firm admirer of Wordsworth, and believes him a great poet.
