There is a large underground dnb community that eats this stuff up. The slower BPM stuff is certainly more modern and still yet to fully catch on though, but naturally it aligns well with techno.

No shit right!? This dude is prolly my fav DJ now days. His techno sets are always really heavily influenced by dnb and he often plays dnb tracks at “33rpm” in them. Or they’re tracks that are meant to sound like that. I been a dnb head since it was jungle . But i migrated over to techno when the dnb tracks out lost their grit IMO. And at the same time techno was getting heavy and dark and hard as fuck. I can’t was til dude as able To come back to Chicago. Never disappoints.

@@YOUENNNN yes that dark halftime sound has been around for 5-10 years now. dark broken beats that feel a lot like techno but sit at 170 bpm. samurai music have been perfecting this sound with artists like homemade weapons, torn, last life and the man presha himself pushing this sound. another great outlet is uvb-76, home to ruffhouse, overlook, clarity, karim maas, bokeh and a bunch more. highly recommending to dive into this, if you enjoy techno you'll love this :)
