Today I review the new Samurai Red Hood 1/4 scale statue from XM Studios!! XM Studios is excited to present our 15th Premium Collectibles release of Batman Samurai Line statue, Red Hood! The unique Samurai line is a result of a creative collaboration between Warner Bros. Consumer Products and XM Studios to showcase the Batman universe in exciting new settings.
With single-minded intent, a red masked man strides forward, weapons in his grip, ready to strike at a moment’s notice. The sharp lethal lines of his body draw an angry red lash in the fabric of reality that speaks of a man who wasn’t above violence if you stood in his path of vengeance. Decked in sleek armour and armed with an array of dual weapons, one could almost hear the clicking sounds of his armoured boots as it echoes off the ruined tiles of the bathhouse.
With his haori (traditional Japanese hip-length jacket worn over a kimono) dyed a signature red, triangular striped pattern at the sleeves and helm, Red Hood depicted here dons on a set of robes that resembles the distinct blue uniform worn by The Shinsengumi.
The base of the sculpt reveals a traditional Japanese bathhouse setting: a battered blue ゆ noren, ruined ceramic tiles with what seems to be a house crest etched on it, a fallen wooden bath bucket that is spilling strange green liquid... what could it possibly be? Or, more importantly, what is our Red Hood doing here?

I love it I love it I absolutely love it I remember when you were talking about it a few videos ago and this is the most badass looking piece out of the Samurai collection and I am so glad to say I made the deposit and this is going to be my first peace from the samurai collection he looks so badass he looks like he is not going to kill you he is going to shred you in pieces I love it can't wait to have it in hand

Really love everything about this statue. Color, pose, all the switch out, details. If this was Batman I would get it instantly. One of the portraits is the Japanese mythical creature Tengu. Really cool folklore.

Really awesome statue... again. I'm really looking forward to mine comin in. The only thing that bothers me, is the error on his Jason head. (Black hair) It seems like the factory and QC didn't notice that the bandana on his forehead isn't painted. I hope XM will either replace those heads or have them sent in and painted. (The issue seems uniformly as every unboxed statue so far is missing the paint) Especially bitter for me, since that portrait is my favorite I want to use. :/ Anyway, thank you for the cool video. Definitely going to display him with Katana and his off hand on the hilt.

@@BatmanStatueCollector I really don't like the Samurai line at all, I just find It ill conceived. The original spirit of the characters is MIA. Having said that, this is certainly better that the 'Widow Twanky' Joker and the 'Fat Italian Mr Carraway' Penguin. I am, however, excited to see how the Regency Dandy JLA line turns out!
