I recaptured and reedited my 2015 showcase using newer hardware, artwork and up to date software to bring it more in line with the arcade version.

A showcase of all the finishing moves ( Zetsumei Ougi, meaning Near-Death Secret - also know as the Overkill Move) in this classic SNK beat em up, playing on MAME Arcade 64 1.85 emulator (PC).
Samurai Shodown V Special, also known as Samurai Spirits Zero Special (サムライスピリッツ零 SPECIAL Samurai Supirittsu Zero Special) was released in Japan April 22, 2004 for the Neo Geo console and in Japanese Arcades.

It may seem odd to suggest to someone that's dead to study more, but everyone gets resurrected at the end of the matches, so it's not that weird if you think about it. Also that wasn't a translation, that was the end of battle quote that is displayed in English.

It was the last game until they recently released Samurai Shodown V Perfect as part of the Samurai Shodown: the Neo Geo Collection. Originally it was canceled until one of the employees managed to find a saved copy on his flash drive and was able to resurrect this once extinct game. Its similar to Special but with a different intro, title screen, additional cutscenes and endings. I played it and it was worth the long wait. It really does live up to its title.

If the Kills weren't dark enough, that ominous drums really completes the whole picture. I don't know the cultural purposes of that, but it does sound like an official execution is taking place, it paints a completely different emotion than the silly DUN DUN DUUUN! that Mortal Kombat has.

Holy shit some of these are just shocking. Like, in mortal kombat my reaction when i see a fatality for the first time was like ''Oh! Ohh!!! OHHHHH!!!!! GOD DAYUM THAT WAS COOL!'' But some of these just creeped me out. its a totally different sensation from mortal kombat, specifically 2:14 (but it may be cause mina always screams ''mother!!!'' after being killed and the fact that kusaregedo is eating her alive just adds to the impact) and 4:08. I guess some of samurai shodown's fatalities leave more to imagination, and there is less satire in the deaths than in mortal kombat.

Samurai Shodown is a great series to bad the PS4 version of this game fatalities are censored. Mizuki’s is my favorite one but Rera is my favorite character in this game.

Their only censored in training mode due to training mode only being on the censored aes home version unless using unibios fatals fix.. Which code mystics can't use. The main game has them uncensored but most players turn on the censored options.

Interesting choice - I like him. He adds the much needed creepy Japanese mythical vibe to the roster and also has a huge sprite with a lot of weight that actually makes the screen shake when he moves about. Also as shown here - he is allergic to eating women's underwear!

Good observation, and considering the relationship between video games and anime it could well be the case. A side note, Samurai Shodown does have its own anime movie but that was extremely poor in almost all regards, I would say the closest anime fit to the game would be Ninja Scroll - one of the great classic anime movies. @@otaking3582 The crt arcade cabinet presentation of older pixel 2D and 3D games will always be my preference as this was the manner in which I originally played these games. So it stands to reason I might find methods that emulate those original features desirable, indeed many who enjoy the retro scene feel the same. You are free to have your opinion, good on you but as this channel is a representation of my perspective on gaming I'm going to go with what I think is better. I would say flat out that IMO even without nostalgia the vast majority of older games literally look nicer on older crt monitors. Anyways cheers lad .

Your opponent has to be low on health, and you have input qcb C+D after using a Rage Explosion (A+B+C when rage meter is full). But you only get one chance to do it since rage explosions make it so you lose your rage meter for the rest of the match.
