I always thought it was supposed to be Tadatsugu Sakai. He was about as important of an officer (for Ieyasu) as Tadakatsu was. Both Tadakatsu and Tadatsugu were apart of "the Four Guardians of the Tokugawa" (other two were Naomasa li and Yasumasa Sakakibara). Although I still have no idea why they made the generic red in the cutscene. Still confuses me to this day.
