▼Synopsis
Shimizu Jirocho, aka Yamamoto Chogoro (Teruhiko Saigo), had established a family in Shimizu Port and was working on river construction. One day, Isuke Inosuke (Torahiko Hamada) of Yaizu is killed and suspicion falls on the Jirocho family. Oryu (Kumiko Okae), Isuke's daughter, attacks Chogoro as her father's enemy, but it was all a scheme by Kitsu An Takei (Tatsuo Endo) and Katsuzo Kurokoma (Hiroshi Nawa), who had returned to take revenge on Chogoro, and Denzo Yaizu family (Katsumasa Uchida), who had been communicating behind the scenes. And when Oryu learns this, she becomes a captive. The Jirocho family rescues Oryu and confronts Kitsu An, Katsuzo, and others with the help of Fumikichi Tsunagi's family (Yoshio Inaba). After a big fight, Oryu avenges her father and Jirocho and his men drive away Kitsu An and his men. However, because they killed many people, the Jirocho family leaves Shimizu Port and begins a journey of hardship.
The second series was broadcast on Fuji TV's ""Jidaigeki Special"" frame in 1982. The scene where Ocho dies of illness during their journey of hardship is impossible to watch without tears. In addition, Komatsu Hoshomasa's evil deeds stand out, and the exhilaration of defeating him is considerable.
