Great review. Of course both accommodation and convergence are accurate control systems.

At 2:10 he begins talking about the eye. I thought it was relaxation of the ciliary body that causes flattening of the lens. It's contraction of the ciliary body that actually causes the lens to become flat to focus on distant objects. Relaxation of the ciliary body--> flattened lens for distance vision. Contraction of ciliary body--> fatter lens for near vision.

A convex lens magnifies. For distance vision the lens is relaxed. Surrounding muscles compress and fatten the lens for close up viewing.

It's the interaction between the ciliary bodies and zonules that causes lens shape change. So contraction of ciliary bodies causes relaxed zonules and a fat (convex) lens for near vision. Relaxation of ciliary bodies causes taut zonules, which causes flatter lens for distance vision.

So if u fail to converge ..eye goes out when trying to converge.. Is it due to a weak medial rectus...or overzealous lateral rectus?

Hai, May i use Convergence eye exercise (using pencil) to reverse my presbyopia? Hope you knew, Muscle stiffness is presbyopia. Can I relieve muscle stiffness using Convergence eye exercise ?

The lens is relaxed for distance vision. A crystallized lens would not permit close focus.

Let me cover double vision in the distance. Both eyes should point at what I'm looking at. If not, I have double vision. If a dominant left eye points at the object and the second right eye is pointed to the left of the object there is double vision, the object being situated to the right of where the right eye points. The effect is an image to the right of the one the dominant is on. (100% sure.)
