Our elder son, who was born and raised in the UK, worked in KFC when he was just 18. Most of his shifts used to be at closing time, so I used to go and pick him up after his shift was completed at mid night. I realised how much cleaning he used to do (though his mother never asked him to do anything at home). I left my well-paid job in a multinational company in India to do PhD in the UK and fortunately, I received a full scholarship so I never did any part-time job in the UK. So, I realised how hard it would be to work part-time in the UK while studying through my son's work at KFC.
